Everyone, at some point, gets that "ah ha!!!" moment. Whether it's getting a big break in a field you had been trying in for years, or if it's in a totally unexpected field you floundered upon and suddenly fell in love with. For me, at 18, I became a summer camp teacher at a private pre-school. Gas money, essentially; that was the idea. In my head I was gonna be a journalist (back before the 24 hr news cycle made them extinct) or maybe do the military thing after college. First week on the job, two autistic children took a liking to me and for some reason (insert jokes here) I worked really well with them. Over 10 years later and my first job ever is still my present employer. Focus: What was your professional epiphany? What made you decide to choose what you do, or what you want to do? Alt.
