Honestly, unless I'm trying to get laid I don't even see the point of going to bars on Friday nights anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still love going, but what's the fun in shoving 20 other drunken retards to pay 3x for a drink, and then screaming at each other all night? I'll pass. Lately, I have a lot more fun drinking with a group of friends at somebody's place. Maybe it's just that I've outgrown the college phase. Shit, I'm getting old.

Bars are ridiculously overrated and overpriced. 95% of my funny stories come from house parties and I almost always just generally have more fun drinking in my or someone else's house rather than a building established to get random people drunk together for a profit. Edit: with notable exception to awesome dive bars.

Re: Weekend Dru- BANG! 11/19/10 Bought a holiday variety 12 pack of Summit and listening to a little Social Distortion before I hit the bars. I have a week off school now and am looking forward to just being generally lazy and worthless the whole week. I will be helping a friend build a beer bottle cap table though. We will router out the top of the table down about 3/8" an inch leaving a lip all around the edge, paint the routed part black, fill it with beer caps in some kind of coordination and then put a plastic epoxy over it and let it dry.
