My girlfriend is getting married in October - it'll be a small (40 people) wedding, mostly friends and amazingly fun family. She has given me free reign over the music playlist for the night. It's all ipod based, since there's no point in hiring a DJ for that number of people. So, have at it - what should be played at her wedding? Rumpshaker and Wobble are already on the docket, as is Genuwine's Pony.

For the past ten years, I've been thinking that this song would be great to play at a wedding reception, but for one verse that would basically be calling the groom's father a violent asshole. There needs to be wedding edit of this:

I tried to get this in for our wedding. My wife didn't think I was very funny. It didn't get played.

Years ago, when I was the young age of about 34, I had a coworker going to a wedding for a friend. She was trying to help with song choice and going through a list. She said definitely not the Electric Slide. I asked her why not. She said it's for old people. My look of shock quickly changed to commiseration. Stupid old people. So I agreed with her, but mentally I was thinking "but I'm so good at it." So what I'm saying is, if she's old like you, the Electric Slide is the way to go.
