My excuse for having 6 types of ice cream on this grocery pickup order is that they'll probably be out of some of it by the time we go to pick it up. That makes sense, right? Right!
It's pretty much frozen veggies, a few pounds of meat, and ice cream. The house we bought already had a nice fridge in the kitchen so we put ours in the garage. There's also an old deep freezer that I have a complicated relationship with that is currently empty.
same here. Ours got demoted to beer fridge and freezer for kids stuff/meat. Complicated relationship with the standalone freezer in the workshop. Used it for game many times. Gotten it working again just as many. It’s currently running. Could probably sell it for a pretty penny with the COVID panic
The deep freezer has an external timer to keep the cooling element in a cycle. I think it wasn't cycling off? I can't remember the whole story but it's my parents old one. The problem is that the breaker tripped once while we were in here due to other things I had plugged in on that circuit and a whole bunch of stuff went bad. So it's there and a last resort but I basically leave it unplugged until that day comes. I'm really, really good at kicking the can down the road.
"The Gambler" just came on and I had a bit of a deja vu moment. When I was in undergrad, I was required to take a certain amount of arts electives in my major, because fake degree. So I took them all in country western dancing, because Texas. I was one class short of a minor in country western dancing which is a thing that exists. And the professor? Choreographer? The guy who taught the classes was the lead dancer and choreographer for Kenny Rogers for years and years. Childhood friends from Houston. I still don't have moves, but I could country western dance like a motherfucker. The issue is it only works if both you and your partner know what the fuck you're doing, and my wife insists that she's better than me especially when she's had some champagne.
There’s other video showing the container ship ahead of it pulling away with a crane draped over its stern. Crazy. I have to think there was some sort of mechanical failure that caused it to power through like that. Tug boat was along for the ride on that one.
Weird, it was an empty ship, never seen that before. And you could tell from the beginning that the tug on the back was just sitting there trying to stop it but nothing he could do.
