    The fact that there’s so many dead people just laying around up there is fascinating to me for some reason. It’s crazy to think you can give directions based on the bodies like it’s a normal thing.

    The climbers are all taking one of a very few optimal paths to the summit and the conditions mean that the corpses will mummify rather than rot. It's really more of a testament to how extreme the conditions are that they overwhelm our natural tendency to retrieve the bodies or give them a respectful burial.

    Everest is too mainstream. Now K2 is where your balls grow. A near impossible hike to base camp. Sixty degree slopes. Weather so horrible it makes it unclimbable for months.     So happy to be having a long weekend this weekend... anyone have any special plans?

    I'm finally at that point where I can start moving back into my home office. I still have a bunch of finishing work to do to it, but at least it's usable now... floors in, all painted... next step to get shit on wheels so I can just move everything out of the way and finish off one wall at a time.

    It's going to be nice to finally have a killer man-cave.

    In honor of Opening Day, I added this little jewel. Paying $120 for a card I got in a 10 cent pack as a kid is just nuts, but I've almost completed the 1973 set now which is something I never did as a kid.
