    Weird; it's fine up in NLV, aka one step out of the ghetto. (myself included, and on that note...)

    The apartment I lived in my first five years here was just north of McCarran, and I was on the ninth floor. Like Elwood Blues said, it got to be so often I didn't notice. For the past eight years I've been near Nellis AFB, where the F-15s and 16s don't fly so often that I don't even notice, but when they do... JFC.

    A strike eagle is so insanely loud. It’s like they packed a thoudand thunderstorms into its thrust. A lot of the golden era fighters were. The Phantom and Hornet also used to freak me out at our air show.

    Wow... that's kind of sad... I basically grew up there.

    The problem is that they suck for live bands now... it's all "Ray Gun" and 80's loud DJ and other shows that bring out the "water drinkers"... those broke kids who have no money to spend on booze, so you don't make any money as a bar.

    Last time I was there (3 weeks ago?) they basically had 3 types of cheap beer and shit highballs... so yeah, go figure they're not making any money.

    If they managed to bring in good bands, charged a premium for an "intimate setting", and sold top shelf booze, then they'd probably do well because they'd be catering to people that actually had money.

    The bar has had some incredible acts play it’s tiny corner stage. It’s the perfect dive bar for live music. Hell, I saw Radiohead in there just after The Bends was released. That was pretty lucky.
