I played a gig last night at a place that sells all non-alcoholic drinks of various kinds. I didn’t have anything while I was there, but I brought home two cans of a drink made with kava. Anybody had it before? Gonna try it tonight, it sounds like you get the buzz without affecting your thinking.
My partner tried kava for a little while due to its anti-anxiety properties. However, there is some slightly unclear research which has linked it to significant liver disease and/or failure, which happened without a lot of warning or clear correlation to heavy usage, so she quit using it. Not much danger in trying a couple of beverages but it's probably worth thinking about before you pick it up as a habit. At the end of the day, the anti-anxiety properties didn't seem to be that meaningful, though that may have been a dosing issue. Honestly, I don't think "buzz without affecting your thinking" is a real thing anyway.
The image generational intensity and force directly translates to intensity and force of orgasm. And the tentacles have tentacles.
Headed to the other house this morning with the FIL to install some more door jambs. Glad it's getting close to completion but damn, we have great weather this weekend and I'll be stuck inside working. Hoping to start moving in by EOM
Well we have had a few decent days so there goes spring and it is supposed to rain for a week straight now
Yeah, I don’t know if it’s something I want to drink regularly, it was more to support the venue, as they contemplate hosting more music, which would be the benefit to me. And, I needed to get something that wouldn’t raise the wife’s eyebrows too much, so I didn’t go with the THC drinks.
Just enjoyed an amazing prime rib. W Sauce for the win. Also did up a scallop potatoes thing with carrots, parsnips, onions, and garlic. Holy shit did it come out tasty as hell. It was a bit of an experiment but is now firmly in the repertoire moving forward. That and a nice bottle of red and I do believe I’ll be going to bed early tonight with a smile on my face.
It's extremely rare that I see an advertisement and immediately click and buy. These throwback Camel Supercross shirts hit me right in the core memories, and they're too cool. Having loads of family that worked at RJR tobacco and my love of dirtbikes are some big reasons I am who I am.
We've got a couple of generations too young to remember the original Four Loko era. As more and more Gen Z'ers come into the legal age to drink, and think they have the novel idea to combine alcohol and energy drink in one can and sell it in packs. I tired to explain to one kid that it's a bit of history that nobody needs to repeat. I don't think he believed me. This particular kid is a bit of bitch though. He said he made his own with Redbull and White Claw. That leads me to believe we're at least decades away from truly reliving that which some of us barely survived.
When that shit first came out my roommate and I drank 3 each over the course of an evening. I was wide awake and out of my mind at 4am. Insane stuff.
