I think Motocrossing with your son would be about the best thing you could have told your wife. Especially since she has ridden yourself. You are not out drinking with the guys and chasing skirts. You are working evenings at home with your son getting ready to spend at least one day of the weekend out riding with and being with your children. How is this in anyway a bad thing?
Just spending a good chunk of money without discussion. That's out of character for me, and not something I would want her to do to me.
Mostly because motorcycles kill people, and mothers are averse to that happening to their children. Less averse to it happening to their husband after he buys their son a motocross bike without consulting her.
We already had his bike for a while. He's just now really interested in it. He used to only want to ride electric bikes, or bmx bikes. I spent the money to get myself a bike because I got excited about his excitement for the sport.
Anything kills people. I think learning how to operate a motorized vehicle before learning to drive can only help surviving on the road. But, I am old as fuck and what do I know.
Picked it up yesterday. Man that Yellow, black and blue looks good. Just need some numbers to cover that white.
My wife and I went to dinner with her college friends ( who were also in our wedding ) that we haven’t seen in 20+ years. When we walked in the restaurant I heard one of them tell the waitress ( jokingly ) she better move as they rushed my wife to hug her. I was a little worried it would be awkward because I don’t know them well and I’ve only met their husbands once I think. But it was as if there wasn’t a 20 year gap and we had a great time. The place we ate at is notorious for their portion sizes. They had a 16 oz filet. The biggest filet I’ve ever had is 8oz; I didn’t even know you could get a 16oz filet. So I did, but only ate half. I should have taken a picture.
I wish I had taken a picture. It was a little more rare than I would have liked the closer I got to the center, but it was warm at least, so I still enjoyed it.
Halloween party last night, knocked some "To do" items off the list this morning so I think it's beer-thirty time.
The guy who did the Astartes fan animation series has gone through some work drama recently... hired to do that stuff for real, leaving for.... reasons... He's now rebranded his Astartes YT channel to Digital Bones, and put up a new trailer for an upcoming game. I fucking LOVE his work and wish there was more.
