Here's an odd one. Happy Rat Catcher Day! Here's my favorite rat catcher. I did not know that the rest of the pied piper story says that the townspeople did not pay him for ridding the town of their rat infestation, so he lead all the children away as punishment. How very old school fairy tale of him. I suppose the moral of that story is pay yo debts. Then, we have the lesser known but very beautiful Rat Catcher from the Suicide Squad. God, I loved that movie. Y'all be good this weekend. I was preparing for a MiL visit that has been postponed so I have some unexpected free time with a nice clean house. Time to trash it again! TGIF!
I've begun reading about the Pied Piper story. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pied_Piper_of_Hamelin It seems that there may have been some event that did steal away over 100 children from the town of Hamelin. I wonder what really happened. I'm sure a lot of these old fairy tales are based on some event and then built up over time or changed to suit the audience or messaging. This is kind of fascinating to dig into.
As you may remember, I was an early Starlink beta user. The hardware I received had a serial number of less than 5,000... it was a big, heavy dish that even had internal debug info calling it "pre-prod". Well, low and behold, today Starlink delivered a brand new dish... one of the new, super lightweight, RV dishes and router. Gotta say I'm really impressed... can't wait to set it up and play with it tomorrow.

If you're gonna go the margarita route, one that's been a favorite amongst my friends is the Stone Cold Margarita; named because it was given by Stone Cold Steve Austin on his episode of Hot Ones. 3-ounces, Patron Silver 1.5-ounces Triple Sec 1-1.25-ounces lime juice Few drops of agave nectar Pour over fresh ice in a lowball glass (salted rim) 1-ounce Grand Marnier on top 1 will make you happy, 2 will make you drunk, 3 will make you dead.
My Mexican uncle had been lauded about the Margaritas he made. Heard how good they were for years. Mother fucker was just double or tripling the tequila. Turns out it was all his drunk ass sailing friends kissing his ass. They arent good but do get you drunk. I think it was Bewildered that recommended Palomas here a few years ago. I really like grapefruit juice so I dig them. My go to now after margaritas.
What are these in the "Absolutely Nothing" area? These little squares span over 100 miles East of Odessa. When I zoom in on Google maps, they appear to be empty lots
Woah now. I might have grossly overestimated my alcohol tolerance. This margarita is pretty swell though. Lime juice and sugar, tequila, triple sec, topped the glass with lime soda water. It's hot as fuck as this is hitting the spot. It is 6:45 and only 106F!
You really need to up your training. You could add a second camel back to your bike hauling... you could have one for normal (water), one for high-test.
