    As @toytoy88 was so kind to point out, today is National Drink a Beer day. Upon further investigation (googling), it also appears to be National Good Neighbor day.

    I'm new to the neighborhood so I am not ready to scare anybody yet. I would LOVE to have a beer with the super cute lady next door but I was pretty starstruck at our first meeting so I might just maintain awkward neighborhoodness until one of us moves.

    Having a few beers while I burn off the remnants of the oak tree I had to cut down before it fell on our house. Saved the good parts of it for bbq wood so now I’m stocked for a few years.

    I’m gonna try the sober October thing in hopes of shedding a few lbs. We’ll see how that goes. Anyone else doing it?

    While not a bad idea, there are not a lot of trees around here. I even have a chainsaw ready to go! I am imagining it now... Going to town on a big tall tree for my lady friend, getting all sweaty and covered in sawdust, then taking a luxurious shower together.

    Also, now I'm going to be thinking about this scenario every single time I see her which is going to make me even more uncomfortable and our interactions even worse.

    Thanksafucking lot.

    I can attest to this. I live on a ranch with a bunch of family members. I’m the resident “fix it” guy who also gets them firewood because I have a good chainsaw and enjoy manual labor so long as it’s outdoors.

    They pay me in beer and/or amazon gift cards.

    It’s quite a nice setup.

    Fuck. That.

    I had my first week of training for my new job. The week started out with me wondering what the hell I got myself into and ended with being told by my trainer that I am ahead of the game for just two days of "hands on". That made the anxiety go away. A couple beers this evening will finish the job.

    TIL today.....women are intimidated by other beautiful women and Nettdata has and odd fetish.

    Antifocus: One of my cousins moved next door to me a few years back. His wife has proceeded to start a collection of dogs. It's up to 6 at the moment. I like dogs but it's annoying as hell because they bark at everything night and day. Even me when I venture into the backyard. The other neighbors aren't too happy about it either.
