I’ll randomly rewatch all sorts of random stuff and watched the last 4 or 5 episodes of GoT the other week. It’s aged worse than I imagined. There is no second look or reassessment needed. The head producers sped through it to get to their next project and delivered a shitburger product. Everything about the writing was garbage.

This would be awesome but could burn a lot of material if the series didn’t work out.

That was so obvious. Season seven could have the same said for it. It contained what would normally be four seasons of stories, complete with red shirts, one-note villains (Euron) and characters who can run fifty miles through frozen tundra in two hours

God this was such a wasted opportunity. Euron is genuinely terrifying in the books. He's like this dark pervert wizard who captains a ship crewed by the damned. There is also another brother who is basically a human battleship who lives to fight and fuckin' hates Euron. Before the seasons aired, fans were speculating we might get something like this:

I’m about 40 minutes into it, but had to put it on pause because my dog threw up. I’ll finish it tomorrow. I hope the story goes for grander things like the original series and is not about another Targaryen chick #girlbossing her way to the top.

The brother was the only half decent character added to the later books. To be fair Martin just could not cut the bloat. Reading about the 25 different mercenary city guard in the 15th city Dany was trying to rule over got very tedious. Still even the worst, boringest, most pointless character in the books beats out the show's Euron "I got to fuck the queen!" Greyjoy.

Pulmonary hemorrhage. The cold turns your respiratory system into a calzone. What I’m saying is that this show for years prided itself in patient, thoughtful and relatable storytelling and it completely died on the vine. Because the showrunners were impatient selfish fucks who weren’t nearly as good as the material they presented. Once it ran out, we were all stuck with the hack who made “X-men Origins: Wolverine”—- a 0/10 movie at best.

    So... I have to laugh.

I don't have a boat, but have a couple of offers in to a few that are for sale.

In the YouTube vortext that I fell into, I ran across a few channels that specialize in broadcasting the daily morons that try to launch and recover their boats.

    Like Miami Boat Ramps.

It's like crack... I cannot stop watching.

Chunky chicks in thongs... Jeeps sliding down ramps and going underwater... it's just... mesmerizing.

X-men Origins: Wolverine is a 1/10, because the opening credits are worth a solid 1 point regardless of how shit the rest of the movie is.

I watch a ton of boat fails, too.

Boats vs. Haulover channel is fun to watch

Alfred Montaner's Chit Show is another good one.

I really don't have much experience with that type boat or the companies that manufacture them. When we lived on a boat, I had a small Boston Whaler with a single mercury. Actually, i still have it, just haven't used it since 2014. You can't go wrong with a Whaler of any size, Grady White, Sea Hunt, Robalo.

My engine of choice would be Yamaha, followed by Mercury. Then probably Evinrude, Honda, Suzuki, Tohatsu, in that order.

Yeah, there's a ton of stuff coming up for sale right now as the economy tanks... it's interesting, to say the least. I'm just amazed at the size of some of these outboards these days... the 300+ race yamahas are just INSANE.

That just does not compute. I've seen max, 400hp outboards. 600? That's drugrunner territory.
