Ask and ye shall receive. Here's you Friday WDT, Meme Wars edition. What I want to see is your meme encapsulating you this weekend. For me, that would be: I don't know if doggies can catch the covid poops, but I really wish my dog would stop pooping, too. Happy Friday, idiots.
same but 3.5 hours for me, labour day is one of the 3 days a year that the site is shut down. labour/christmas/new years days are the 3 there is no work.
Today was the start of a 4-day for me. My company gives us a half-dozen extra company-wide holidays throughout the year called Connect Days.... the idea is go, shut off all work stuff, and connect with your family and yourself. Regardless of which office/time zone you're in, the entire company, globally, is down for that day. It doesn't suck.
We are trying to get the company to get us to go on a 4on 4off schedule. Problem is our contract isn't set up for it. It would be so amazing to have a 4 day weekend every weekend. And if you take 4 days off you have almost 2 weeks off.
We’re going along with some old friends tomorrow to a free concert (because no one would pay to see them) by a shitty band they know. Old people style- a crappy band of people older than me, playing at an “ arts” space, everyone lugging their folding chairs and bitching about the parking. Thank fucking god I’m seeing Rammstein in a few days so I can go back to denying my age.
Took the day off, because one machine has no work and the other needs repairs. But also my lower back has been killing me of late. Could be getting older, could be degenerative bone disease; time will tell.
Shit god damnit I forgot they were touring. I wanted to go to that one as its the closest theyll be. I saw them in a 1500 person club and it was fun and all but I think theyre more of a stadium act. Been 20 years since I saw them Gdamn. Ive taken off a day in a few weeks to see Pearl Jam in Nashville which is my last big bucket list band to see live.
Never heard of him. I miss the babaganoush from the Greek places back home. It's the #1 reason I grew it this season.
A meme war thread could go bad. Really and gloriously bad. I love it, and here my first contribution:
