Wow a week went by fast.

Garage night on a Saturday- because once a week isn’t enough.

I have a 6 day boondock next week. (that's basically glamping in the Tin Can without power, relying solely on batteries and solar).

I've just finished a major electrical upgrade that should let this happen without issue, so am excited to put it to the test. Emergency backup is to use the Cummins as a generator, as I've set up 250 amp fast charge from the idling engine if needed.

Worst case, the beer/wine fridge runs off of propane, so it won't be bad.

This Wednesday will be one year since my friend passed so we're doing a little shindig for him near his hometown in Oregon. The wifey and I came up early to spend a few days in Ashland. Fun little town with some cool spots to eat and drink. I have a belly full of wine, food and looking forward to checking out some wineries tomorrow

How long does it take to full charge your new battery setup from the truck?

Don’t know yet. I’ve been able to do close to 20% in a remote start period (20 mins?).

Doesn’t sound like much but that’s a shit ton of power. Like starlink and tv’s and lights for a couple of days.

This week will be an interesting time for real data collection as I’ll be boondocking for almost 7 days.

We're all going to pretend we work hard so every day is labor day!

As usual, @Misanthropic is showing us all how to party like it's 1999.

This weekend was stupid busy. Friday I was the activity sherpa for my kid + friend. Sunday we drove like 6hrs round trip for a playdate, a new duck pickup, and a booze pickup. I make vanilla using BSB 103 and it doesn't stay on the shelf long enough for me to get in to buy it. I found a liquor store that was a 30min detour and we went for it.

I hope you all had a fabulous, relaxing weekend. I did not. There's always next weekend.

I'm very disappointed in the internet. What is taking so long to identify the Phillies Karen? I expected it would be done by now, that her life would already be in ruins because of her behavior at a ball game.

I've read that was not true, the school system put out a statement. Two people have been named so far, but both were incorrect.

Half the boomer women in America look like that. ARE that. That’s basically every woman in the Midwest. It’s like finding a specific needle in a stack of needles.

That woman has to have the most loyal friends on the planet. I can't believe not one of her acquaintances from real life have ratted her out.

I mean, I have a couple of friends like that, ones that would keep my identity safe. I also know a pile of people that I expect would throw me to the wolves.

They’ll find out who it is. They always find out. Just as bad is that rich Polish asshole snatching the tennis hat from the kid— motherfucker that was NOT an accident, you didn’t think it was for you. All you had to say was “I am an entitled rich asshole, sorry.” Instead of going on about how you were lost in the moment but you CARE about tennis so much. Fuck you.

I have a guilty pleasure confession. I really love watching My Cat From Hell. I think it is hilarious and enthralling. My husband hates it and makes fun of the host nonstop if he is watching at all. I can't get enough of this show.

    Me too.
I watched a bunch of that show when I was in the county jail, where it would be shown several times a day.

I really liked Charlie Sheen back then; he seemed like he was unstoppable, and he was doing things his own way.

I realize now that he was a piece of shit, but back then, he seemed pretty cool.

Nick Mullen had a really great take on this subject back in the day:
