That's an awesome position to be in. Jealous. I'm in a weird spot where I need to make the decision whether I want a true big boy job at this place or kind of branch out laterally and build my consulting side gig. This place is a slowly sinking boat as they continually can't figure out how to compete, which sucks cause the tech side is excellent. The business/sales side is terrible.

Man, I've become so soft. Pretty sure I'd be a vegetarian if I had to kill and process my own meat lol. But I still like my Bud Light and Jim Beam and everytime the Z06 comes out, triple digits speeds are attained.

It’s too bad Rush had to leave after the election. I can only imagine how excited he is they are reuniting.

    Yeah.

I'm already on the pre-sale list for tickets in Toronto.

Can anybody find me a video of the new drummer lady playing a Rush tune? My YouTube-fu seems to be lacking.

And a happy birthday to you, said Vladdie.

That slam was so inevitable, and so beautiful.

I can’t wait for all the Yankees fans to say “well at least we beat Boston,” like it was some amazing feat this year.

    *cries into my lobstah*

You're still in, given the recency of your light beer consumption and the raising of hell in an american sports car. Killing and eating animals doesn't carry the same weight it once did, with the widely available supermarket meats... I can get bison from Harris Teeter, I don’t need to travel to South Dakota.

The only substantial game out my way is whitetail deer. While I really like venison, the prions aren’t worth It.

Last night I started watching the King of the Hill revival while on the treadmill. The first episode is about Hank moving home from his overseas job in Saudi Arabia. He and Peggy discuss how they prefer Saudi Arabia as it’s more Texas than Texas is.

My social media algorithms seem to think that I really care about a bunch of comedians going to Saudi Arabia to perform, then coming back to tell everyone how awesome it is over there. (And then everyone shitting all over them)

It’s weird how much these two things lined up.

I care far less about Dave Chappelle and Bill Burr getting a payday from a Saudi prince than I do about members of Congress fucking insider trading.

I don’t care what any of these people do. I just find it odd that social media keeps telling me I should.

Gotta keep stoking the rage... that produces the highest level of engagement.

And whether you're the news, or a social media app, engagement == eyeballs == marketing revenue.

Just about every mass communication service is driven by it, and feeds into it.

Bill Hicks got it right a long time ago.

That shit is wasted on me. I’m fluctuating between a simmering anger and rage nearly all of the time anyway, punctuated by bleakness.

I’ve got pushed the same news article on why critics are slamming Tron Ares even though the article cites a decent critics score and just quotes one writers that didn’t like it. Media is just getting worse and worse. I’m hoping for a mass societal rejection of media once AI has taken complete control of it.

I’m in Denver overnight. Any suggestions for food? Preferably a good mission style burrito place?

Have you seen the new motorized rotisserie attachment they're now rolling out for the YS480 & YS640? Debating if I want to get one right away or wait and see next spring how they're working for others.

No. I haven’t. You bastard. lol

I love rotisserie. That for the yoder would be ideal.

I am planning a lamb shoulder on the gas grill next week with the rotisserie… it would be amazing to do that on the smoker.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for sure.
