When I hit a deer back in October, they gave a 2024 Toyota Corrola, base model. My kid was totally amazed by it. He truly has no clue about the finer things in life. Whether it be cars or any other category, we're way behind most other people. Mostly by choice, to keep expenses low.

Yes but a base 2024 corrola has a 167hp, the fancy 7th gen 2000+ Civic Si only had 160hp. So the base shit box from today had more hp then the racey one from 20 years ago.

I hear ya. My Z06 only has ~765hp lol.
I took my MIL for a ride back when it "only" had 650hp. She still talks about how it scared the shit outta her. It's been four plus years.

I want to drive a Tesla Plaid. I've heard it feels like an elephant sitting on your chest.

    The ultimate torque curve.

I'm a fan of Cleetus, and every now and then the Plaid with a minivan body on it makes an appearance. It's an 8 second car.

    It's fucking hilarious.

"I got beat by a minivan!"

F1 kicks off this week... and they've launched a new feature for their streaming platform.. the ability to build your own multi-display view of the race.

It is mind bending! You can select a variety of feeds to watch... the normal feed with commentary, track position, data screen, and live in-car from any of the drivers.

It's taken what is the best way to watch a sporting event and made it so much better.

It got up to 19 degrees yesterday. Glorious.

Today is a bit wet, but warm… bacon wrapped pork loin in the smoker, and a day of watching F1 on the couch with the dog, and it’s shaping up to be a nice day.

And the pickled eggs I made a couple weeks ago are amazing!

If you thought the garlic soup I make can clear a room, these things are almost a war crime. Even the dog is judging me as she moves to another room.

Done right, pickled eggs require me to sleep in the guest bedroom.
