It's maxing out at around 105°F after the "humidex".

Yeah, yeah... it's not Hyewston hot, but you also don't get -25°C.

We don't do heat well here. At least I don't... give me rain, cold, snow, whatever... but unless that heat comes in the form of a beach, under a palm tree, drinking blender drinks, you can keep it.

On your planet it’s a crisp 105 with humidex added right now. It feels way hotter. And yet I see these birdbrains out jogging my neighbourhood. I love summer, but I know there’s such a thing as “dangerous heat” and today has that.

Go hit the gym treadmill in The A/C if you just HAVE to be oh so proactive on a weekend holiday, Jim Fixx. Give it a rest.

104 sucks no matter how you slice it. We hvent gotten quite that hot here yet. But our humidity is miserable. My electricity bill has been $200ish per month for the last 2 months now. It’s gonna be an expensive year.

I love the heat but it’s just plain nasty today. You can’t even relax and read outside because of involuntary squintiness.

The only redeeming quality is that there is a pretty good breeze. It makes it a bit better, if not like a convection oven.

104* yesterday so I did what any responsible adult would do; got absolutely hammered and swam in the pool all day.

Got snipped on Thursday and I was so worried about nothing. Took 10-12 mins and had some very minor discomfort on Friday and felt fine after that. They gave me 30 Norcos and I think I took one when I got home and one Friday morning just to be safe.

Toytoy, how much for a 90+ 300ZX? Much more modern looking IMO although I did love the digital dash in my parents '87 Turbo

@GTE Are you saying you have 28 Norcos you need to get rid of? Asking for a friend.

For a TT, you're looking at $15-20K. I drove a few of them when they were new and the turbo lag was obnoxious. But, once those big fuckers spooled up and started boosting, the cars kicked like a mule.

Damn, they've gone up. My brother had a '94 TT. He put Volk wheels on it, Brembo brakes, HKS ball bearing turbos etc. If I recall, it put down just over 500 to the wheels. Sold it for like $18k and the guy smoked the clutch on his long drive home and wrecked it within a few months.

Maybe I’m late to the party, but has anyone else watched Wild Wild Country on Netflix? What the fuck.

Documentary on some upstart new age guru following that took over a town in Oregon and starting morphing into a violent cult.

My fiancee binged it and I caught bits and pieces. Enough that I am definitely interested in watching the rest.

Freaky doesn't even remotely begin to describe it.

Was this the Rajneeshas (Or how ever the hell you spell it)? They brought in a bunch of homeless folks to vote for their cult candidates in the local election and pretty much took over city council.
