Tomorrow is also Bat Appreciation Day. Let's take a moment and thank the bats for covid.

    Cough, cough, what was that?

I know you can do me one better. For further inspiration, you may also show appreciation for National Days of: Husbands, Crawfish, Eggs Benedict, and Wearing your Pajamas to Work.

Happy Friday, idiots. I am excited to be feeling better and look forward to a little weeding out front.

The weather is miserable here. Raining, snowing and very windy. An Old Fashioned seems to be the drink of the night.

We are exactly 6 weeks way from the wife’s due date and she is now officially at the point where she was hospitalized for her pregnancy with our daughter. So that’s a plus.

Congrats! I'm sure they have kept a close eye on her so there are fewer surprises this go round. Wishing good health to her and junior.

The weather is gorgeous here. Sorry not sorry. 75 and breezy. I just finished up weeding a small section out front. The peppers might even get left outside tonight. My neighbor just dropped off baby Brussels and butternut squash. I am so freaking excited about this upcoming gardening season.

Thanks. We know what to look for this time around and they see her weekly for ultrasounds and vitals checks. My wife was up in the middle of the night last night all worked up about it, but so far, so good otherwise.

The fucking desert. I hate the fucking desert.
I just got a random text: Heyy (sic) this is my number!

    I asked: Who is this?

    The reply: It's me homie

I don't know anyone named homie.

I pulled up behind an SUV today. I was wondering why it had a horse emblem on the back of it and then I spied the tail lights. It was the new Ford Mustang SUV. Fuck. Me. Running. I felt like personally driving to Dearborn and beating the shit out of everyone connected with Ford for creating such an abortion. It's worse than a Mustang II and I didn't think that was possible.

Is it the Mach-E? I don't know why they classify that as an SUV. It looks more like it would fall into the Crossover category. Do they make a gas model of the Mach? Or are they all electric?

Ford has to do some whacky shit for their emissions requirements to offset their SUV & truck lineup. Supposedly that was one of the reasons the Ford ranger existed.

But yeah, that thing is a mediocre atrocity.

The International Scout needs to come back exactly as rendered below, though.

I bought my kid a baseball rebounder because he just started Tball and looks like he loves it. I really used my son's Tball status as an excuse for a 40 year old man to own a baseball rebounder. There is only one thing that you can do alone that is more fun than fielding grounders and pop flys off a rebounder.

I wish I still had a rebounder net. I would spend hours as a teenager doing exactly that, seeing how creative I could get with the pop ups and grounders. It’s fun and almost therapeutic.

I always threw a ball at a set of three concrete porch steps. It works incredibly well and the ball comes back unpredictably which is great for reflexes.

Me too. I would have done the more fun thing more as a teenager if not for my rebounder. The $53 Franklin net I bought seems pretty good. Give it a go. It's going to be how I get some of my exercise now.

I did that, too, sometimes. But it is rough on your balls... and I put a hole in the siding of my childhood home when I missed once

    Rough on your balls indeed.

Thats why we used a red rubber ball whenever we used the concrete steps. You’d think with all of the rebounding, throwing, catching etc I’d have finely honed reflexes. I do not.
