Well yea…he named himself the host and said he was asked to be the host. And he never gave Levar Burton a fair shake. Plus, all the other shit he evidently said on a podcast or something. I didn’t read what he said on the podcast though.
The fact that they had paid out millions in a lawsuit against him and the show he produced was the biggest WTF moment when he was announced. The cultural climate today and the show thought that’s go unnoticed or something? Regardless of digging up old podcasts, millions in a sexual discrimination suit was just never going to fly on the optics.
Do people really think Levar Burton did that well, though? He was not at ease at all whatsoever in any of his episodes. They should honestly have Pat Sajak do it and have someone else do WOF.
Especially when you are replacing possibly the single cleanest, blameless and most well-respected celebrity of our generation.

David Faber was probably the best of the guest hosts and said that he would take the job if offered. There was speculation that Mayim Bialik hosting the new prime time episodes was supposed to be temporary and she could take the role full time whenever her sitcom ended. Aaron Rodgers was pretty good and has said that he wants the job, too. Since Ken Jennings already works for the show he may also be a frontrunner for the full time gig.
Just personal experience but I have a number of friends my age that religiously watch it. They do a lot to promote young contestants. Wouldn’t be surprised if this show skews younger than other game shows.
Mine too. His stage presence could use a little brushing up, but otherwise he has the perfect demeanor for it. James Holzhauer is just a little too odd and Buzzy Cohen has a really stupid name.
As if “Buzz” isn’t a goofy enough name on its own, Jesus Christ. He sounds like he’s named after a Chuck E Cheese character.
He doesn’t have the smooth, groomed charm of Trebek but nobody does. Besides being the best guest host he’s Jeopardy’s all-time greatest player, which more than makes him a good fit.
