Taking tomorrow off, and we've got Monday off for a Civic Holiday (whatever that is), so just heading into a 4-day weekend. Looking forward to it. Finally have a few days without the threat of rain, so plan on sanding and refinishing my cedar table on the deck, in place. It's lasted... what... 10 years now? Super impressed with how it did without any cover or protection in the winter. It just sat there, exposed, suffering all the weather. Looking forward to getting it refinished.
Also getting ready to take 4-6 weeks off in the Airstream. Heading to Northern Ontario for a bit (assuming the smoke/fires isn't too bad), and then head out East, meandering through Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. Just me and the dog. Part vacation, part working remote. All "not here" and enjoying the extended road trip.
I also have a 4 day weekend planned. Heading out to Baltimore to go and watch the Savannah Bananas at Camden Yards. I don't really care about the actual baseball 'game', but it's a fun experience for the kids, and I am just looking forward to getting to go to one of MLB's iconic parks. Also gonna see if I can ingratiate myself into the illicit drug gang trade I've heard so much about.
I'm glad you posted it so I can live vicariously through you. My mom is in town and staying at our house this weekend so I'm on my best behavior. No sexy time with the wifey. No getting hammered and listening to loud music. No getting ripped in the garage and giggling like a school girl on the couch. Sunday can't come soon enough.
I’ve got a 2.5 hour drive to play a one hour set tomorrow. Then I’m jumping in the truck and driving 2.5 hours home so I can sleep in my own bed instead of a hotel. If all goes well I’ll be home by midnight. I’ve grown to hate these long drives by myself, almost to the point of having anxiety about travel, so I just want to get it over with and get back to my boring life here at home.
https://www.obawebsite.com/71-year-...h-orange-beach-breaking-the-great-loop-record A 71 year old dude just did The Great Loop on a jon boat, in world record time of 19 days, 14 hours. I'd love to do the loop at 71, when that time comes. But my boat is going to have a bed, AC, and most comforts of home. That old feller is a badass.
I saw the bananas in Cincinnati earlier this year. It was like living inside of TikTok. 3 hours of pedal to the metal things going on. One of my kids has ADHD. he absolutely loved it. My other son does not. He was overwhelmed by all that was going on. I highly recommend everyone see it once.
My wife is obsessed with them, and wants them to come to Canada bad. Camden is great. It’s lined with quaint shops and cafes and then you’ll walk by a guy on the sidewalk covered in swastika tattoos. That is a perfect ballpark, though. It made every other team re-evaluate the shitty cookie-cutter football stadiums they played in except for Oakland, of course.
He had a tiller pilot, it would hold a course. He did fall asleep at the tiller, and woke up about 30 feet from the water. Had to be pulled back in by another boat.
Semi-related: does anyone actually think Sydney Sweeney is promoting eugenics with a fucking American Eagle ad? I suspect this is a set-up, honestly. I work for a company that sells jeans. Any idiot knows that you can buy black jeans. This controversy comes with its own fix.
I mean the obvious play on words AE was going for. Im 50/50 these days if brands do this to create the viral backlash or if they are just fucking stupid. I tell you this, I don't think the weird mom/bell bottom jeans she was in were good looking at all and Ive never liked the Canadian Tuxedo look. Should have just kept her in the wife beater top and some apple bottom jeans.
Throw in some good old fashioned seal clubbing… “not only does she have good jeans, she loves to go clubbing too”
