Holy shit... I forgot that tomorrow night is the Tyson fight.

I refuse to pay for that shit but I will say I'm super interested to see how it turns out.

I think Tyson will fucking murder him. Old school.

I want Tyson to knock his head off in the first round. I don’t know a single person that isn’t hoping for the same.

The only two interests it has for me is Tyson fighting, and the notion of him trying to kill Paul. Nothing else. These shit-sanctioned matches that Paul popularized are ALL garbage.

Tyson is 60 and has something to prove with this— he wants to show the world who’s who. When current fighters get mixed up in this horseshit it just lowers their stock.

I thought it was free on Netflix?

I'm also hoping Tyson puts him in a coma but I don't know if that going to happen. Paul is a pretty big dude and has been legit training for some years now with an unlimited budget. Also, half Tyson's age. I respect Paul because he really does train like a pro fighter and I think he really loves the sport. However, I loath him because he fights other YT personalities, washed up boxers, washed up MMA guys, washed up NBA guys way smaller than him and acts like he's the next Ali.

Edit - And I'm sure Paul as trained extensively to keep Tyson away with his long jab. Mike needs to get in close to cause damage.

I’m hoping Tyson destroys him, but who the hell knows.

Oh I got. Sweet Jesus I got, and this is the roughest Friday I’ve had in a while.

You made me laugh this morning. I meant, did you bet on the fight. Auto corrected, or fat fingered with bleary eyes. Good morning, world.

That’s what Tyson’s complete instinct is: kill or be killed. He’s always been a power-punching specialist with explosive speed and strength. Four years ago he looked incredible and terrifying in that exhibition fight with Roy Jones, who’s also on the boxer short list for the best of all time— and Jones never retired, he’s kept boxing into his fifties.

Sure we deteriorate as we age, but those hands stay hard until you die. That ring IQ and killer instinct hasn’t evaporated in the least. And he looks fast and angry in his training clips.

Jake Paul is a dead man.

Yes, so long as he doesn't get punched in the face/ mouth.

Seriously, though, after all those years of fighting, I don't think Tyson has it in him to "take it easy" or "have a sparring match", if that is indeed the plan.

He'll be the one that's punched in the face/mouth, it will trigger the inner demon, and he'll revert to pure animal instinct and will fuck YouTube Boy up.

One of my students, a HS senior, asked me if I was watching the fight and who I thought would win.

I explained I wasn’t paying for Netflix to watch it, but I was hoping for a Tyson win, and fast.

“Watching him in the 90’s was something you had to be there and see. I’d like to see him do that one more time.”

My uncle spent crazy cash to go see one of his big fights in Vegas. It was about to start and he was out getting a drink or something, figured there was no rush to get back to his seat, and he missed the first round knockout.

    He never lived that down.

Tyson never gave a shit about giving people a show worth their money. If the fight ends in 89 seconds, so be it. The undercard is to make sure you get your money's worth.

That said, I hope he murders Jake Paul.

Absolutely. I watched all of his fights in the 80s and 90s, at least until he went off the rails. I want to see him take someone apart one last time.
