    What an awesome day.

    The only responsible thing I had to do today was take Zoe to the vet for some Lyme disease shots/tests. She loved it. The vet has a koi pond in reception, what’s not to love?

    Otherwise I’ve been cooking. And drinking. Gin and tonics in the heat. While cooking bison osso buco. Oh. My. God.

    Tried one of them early (cooking them for a dinner party tomorrow night) and it was fucking tasty.

    2 days in the sous vide, with a long running (lots of drinking time) reduction of the sauce.

    It’s got all the properties of seriously good bbq, just different; long time cooking, lots of drinking, amazing meat to eat when you’re done.

    Just prepped with a bit less smoke and fire.

    I've actually never pissed blood. Fortunately I haven't had any *serious* internal injuries beyond the brain tumor and concussions. And my liver almost failing because of covid I guess, but it recovered pretty quick so that doesn't count.

    Though I do have a cardiologist appt next tuesday to see what's going on with my heart and why I get palpitations during mild exercise ever since I got covid. So I might have to revise that statement.

    Covid fucked up my boss. It hardened the wall between the sides of his heart, which in turned is pushing on a valve so it doesn't fully close.

    yeah I'm hoping for something less dangerous than that. But if it is... whatever. At least I survived. I'll just start taking golf lessons or one of those other not-a-sport "sports."
