I got the pontoon un-winterized and put in the water just in time for a massive cold front. We got no beautiful weather here, dipped all the way to 32F the past two mornings. This has been the coolest April I think I ever remember. Not rainy, just not enough of those high 70, low 80 days for me. The fresh corn on the cob selection at the grocery store is finally getting better and I'm taking full advantage. Mexican street corn in the air fryer is currently my favorite thing to eat.
I can't promise to be good, but I do plan on enjoying the weather. Some yard work Saturday, Braves game Sunday. Watching the Academy Awards Sunday night. I haven't seen many of the nominated films this year, and it's obviously a weird year for films that never came to theatres. (And, wtf, why didn't The Courier come to my local theatre? Like, what the hell other new release are you showing?) But, I do plan on trying to burn through a few tonight and Saturday to know a little bit about whatever terrible jokes are made.
My father-in-law and his mess of a wife are coming up to visit tomorrow. They’re fine, but my wife and I have a bet to see how long it takes his GF to start talking about all her medical ailments or her son that is currently locked up in prison, again.
Friggin snowed 4 inches here a few days ago. Not a pretty weekend it looks like. Im going to make some sausage and work around the house. Maybe watch the Mortal Kombat movie. Tony Hawk.

A friend wants me to accompany her down to SoCal tomorrow to pick up her taxes. She paid for the service and now they won't answer the phone, return calls, texts, or e-mails. I suggested that maybe, just possibly, they went under and it might be a pointless trip. She didn't think that was possible. Okey dokey then.... We'll see if the trip comes about. I'm not looking forward to it. It'll either be me white knuckling over on the passenger side or her bitching at my driving because I'm not aggressive enough. She gets pissy if I don't tail gate other drivers because "Someone could pull in that space."
The California 'B' rule of thumb: If your drive goes through Bakersfield or Barstow, it's not going to be an enjoyable drive.
It's irrelevant at this point. I told her to call me yea or nay if we were going to be leaving at 6:30am tomorrow. It's now 9:30pm the night before and she hasn't called, so it's no longer my problem. Not that it was ever my problem, but I can now tell her to go get fucked with a clear conscience.
