https://www.goldenglobes.com/ Shoutout to whoever put Salma Hayek and her bodacious chi chis on the front page. I skimmed the list of nominations. I'm familiar with most of the actors but only 1 or 2 of the TV shows nominated/ from. Did you see any of them? Worth the time to watch? Today is also the highly exciting SKIP THE STRAW day. Woo these calendar people are really reaching here. I will say that I own a set of metal straws because I am pretty against single use plastics and like to drink from a straw on the regular. Maybe this is a controversial topic since some people lost it when places were banning straws. Y'all, it's Friday. The snow has melted, we're getting some sun, and spring is around the corner. I'm over here planning my garden when I should be caulking baseboards. Have a nice weekend! Focus: Golden Globes drinking games. Go.
I think that this is going to be a weird year for the awards shows because there was such a dearth of scripted content last year because of COVID. If I recall correctly, the major networks didn't have a single scripted primetime series last fall, and a lot of films either got pushed to this year or had really weird releases.
Jamie lee Curtis had some bodacious fun bags back in the day. Struggling to think of shows I’ve watched. I think ozarks is the only new show I watched. Tiger King and a few other True Crime docuseries. I have 3-4 comfort shows I throw on to pass out to. DS9, Star Trek TNG, The sopranos, deadwood. Don’t have to stay fully engaged to understand what’s going on. I’m a boring ass dude.
I haven't seen any of that shit except for Mandalorian. Wasn't Ratched like...awful? The reviews I heard were not kind. I can say nominating "Tenet" for their score, because holy shit that was incredible. The movie was hit or miss, but the soundtrack was unique.
I don’t know how “The Boys” doesn’t get nominated AND win for best show, because it’s the best show currently on TV. But this is about important, quality entertainment awards for realistic, world-building dramatic powerhouses like “This Is Us” and “The West Wing”. Ozark is a good show. So good that next season will be it’s last.
I’m going to do a shot every time I think about Selma Hayek’s boobs. I’ll be drunk as of 2005. I’ve got a few sets of those metal straws I picked up at a conference, shortly before COVID seriously curtailed my dining out, so I’ve never actually used them. The last time I ate out we were given paper straws - they worked fine when I was a kid and they’re fine now.
We watched "Ratched;" it was alright, but we won't be watching the next season (because you KNOW they're going to make another season.) I thought that the sound in Tenet was terrible; I haven't seen it yet. I refuse to do so until I can watch a version with subtitles.
I bought a 6 pack of the fat ones for smoothies but use them in coffee and other drinks daily. I really don't like cold water on my teeth.
The neat thing about that typo is that it sounds like you're agreeing with him in a Shakespearean accent.
How did David Lee Roth go from greatest front man ever to the creepiest, cringiest fucker ever to set foot on stage? Was it the hair? Like a Samson thing?
Christ, I couldn't even watch til the end. Seeing him do... whatever that was, as he sang convinced me that the lead singer of any band should always have a guitar or something to play to keep them from doing...whatever it was Dave was doing.
My hometown is chaotic. Saw a dude in the gym with an impressive Ricky from Trailer Park Boys haircut and cool back in 1990-never tribal tatoos under his sleeveless t-shirt. A lady in front of me in the UPS store legit shipped home made edibles to Alabama. Like the dude taking care of her box tried to be like, "ma'am, is this edible fudge" and she was like "naw, it's weed. But you can say fudge if you want to sweetie." And I dunno why this was weird, but a black cop with dreads down to his ass. Like....it felt wrong next to Chad Crewcut who gets his fashion advice from PC Principal from South Park.
