Welcome to the weekend, we got fun and games.

Actually, boring weekend planned over here. Sounds like @downndirty might have slated shenanigans.
Question: If you catch covid from a sexual partner, is it considered an STD? Asking for a friend.

Our weather is warming up a little and I've been able to get outside comfortably a bit here and there. We have one more cold spell expected next month and then we will trend upward. I'm really excited to get out in the sun a bit. It has greatly improved my mood.

Today is National Bigwig Day. I guess around here that would be @Nettdata . So, raise your glass to the data of Netts, cuz he keeps this place going. Thanks man!

As always, I do a little google image search. Today gets the prize for biggest variety of images. If you didn't know what I searched for, could you even have guessed?

    Happy Friday, y'all! Be good.

Cheers! And happy to be doing it... so far it doesn't suck.

Also big props to @Binary for the tech help, as well as the other mods for doing their thing... and a big "thanks" to you, @bewildered , for picking up the "new thread" mantle from @shegirl . Big shoes to fill, and you've been doing an awesome job!

Congratulations, I sang the first sentence in my head.

I’ve got another weekend of sitting around waiting for my leg to heal. My wife may also take me to get a haircut , and then Sunday I can worry about how she’s going to clear 15” of snow off the driveway by herself Monday and Tuesday.

Aw shucks! It's a small thing and I'm happy to do it. Some threads turn out better than others, depends on the time of year and how creative I'm feeling that day.

You can be sure of one thing, though, and that's that I'll forget about a national holiday or other huge event and have to edit it well after posting.

Of course Bigwig porn ruins my favorite novel of all time.
Well the latest adaptation of it ruined Bigwig’s whole character arc, so I guess it’s to be expected.

I was told there would be snow.
    There is no snow.
I was told it would be pretty.
    There is no pretty.
I was told there would be fucking.
She has labored breathing, which only SOUNDS like fucking....if you're doing it wrong.

I'm doing an 80's sci-fi weekend with some colleagues/friends. So far, Blade Runner, Dune, Back to the Future.

Any suggestions on the best 80's sci-fi?

A few of them are pretty squeamish, so no "The Thing". We're debating "Aliens", but it doesn't seem to be going well.

These, plus Robocop 1 and 2, Aliens and Total Recall.

Edit: Total Recall came out in 1990. Watch it anyway.

Krull, Brazil, and Flash Gordon are definitely great ones to watch.

If you want to watch a lady space vampire frolic around in the nude for practically an entire movie, then Lifeforce is a great choice, too. Plus, Patrick Stewart is in it for like 5 seconds.

Everyone has named the big ones, so I’ll name you awesome, low-budget, post apocalyptic/futuristic sci-if smut from New World and Cannon films:

    Wheels Of Fire
    Stryker
    Trancers
    Savage Dawn
    Steel Dawn
    The Quiet Earth
    Def-Con 4
    Life Force aka Space Vampires
The Exterminators of the Year 3000
    Class of 1984
    Cherry 2000
    Equalizer 2000
    America 3000
    Battletruck
    The Eliminators
    Night of the Comet

....lots of wonderful Terminator and Mad Max ripoffs to choose from. Except most of them have more nudity.

There's loads of Cronenberg to choose from, but I'd probably go with Scanners for the sake of your coworkers.

This is probably the worst scene in the movie, and it's pretty tame by Cronenberg standards

That movie is now a BRILLIANT satire, one of Carpenter’s best. And it has the best knock-down, drag-out fist fight ever filmed:
