The second in his “Lesbian B-movie trilogy”. Both so far have starred Qualley playing different characters.

Have you seen the original Deathstalker films? They were the peak of the Sword & Scorcery genre. And one of the Astron-6 guys directed it, who are THE guys you want to be making eighties-centric movies.

Wow, no kidding. Complete with Daniel Bernhardt as a lead. That dude is a hell of a stuntman and extra in action movies. He was also roasted hard in MST3K - Future War.

I don't remember seeing any other Deathstalkers... I probably have, as I'm a sucker for that shit, but I also probably immediately purged it from my memory.

That being said, The Beastmaster fills a special place in my heart...

Same here. Man, I can't remember how many times my friend and I watched this movie. The fact that it may have been the first time we saw boobs in a movie may or may not have had something to do with that.

I see they finally got around to making a movie out of Stephen King's "The Long Walk."

It was written under his pen name, Richard Bachman, and it's a great story. It'll be interesting to see how it translates on to the screen, assuming they stuck to the story.

There are four of them. The budget decreases with each film, along with the size of the title character. In the first film he’s this badass barbarian and by the final film he’s a conniving thief. Played by a VERY different actor every time.

You can’t beat Frank Frazetta-style movie posters:

I think it’s one of King’s best stories, in his top 5 or even top 3. It’s cruel, gruesome and horrifying and they seem to be trying to be as faithful as possible to the source material right down to the dialogue. The filmmakers promised they will not hold back on this one— if so…. Yikes.

There were a couple glimpses of that in the trailer. It really is an amazing story.

This is one of my favorite King stories. I’m almost afraid to see it in case I’m disappointed, but the trailer does look great.
