We all know 28 Months Later will be the most awesome sequel ever made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spUhWp2MNzM It will have pseudo-zombies, violence, and the rage virus.
Boondock Saints 2 (Oct 30th) Disney's A Christmas Carol (Nov 6) 2012 (Nov 13) and for some reason Fantastic Mr.Fox (Nov 25th). When I first saw the trailer for this I thought "this cant get worse" but the more I see it the more I warm up to the idea/filming style. If theres as many jokes out of the trailer as there are in the trailer it might not be all that bad.
Thats actually a trailer for a movie called "doomsday" that was released last march, with the end/after credits of 28 weeks later thrown in at the end. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0483607/
http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/themenwhostareatgoats/ George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Ewan McGregor, and Kevin Spacey? I might actually see this one in theaters.
I heard someone talking about Boondock 2 on Toucher and Rich (boston radio DJ's) last week. They said the first ten minutes were cool, but that the rest of the movie was god awful. I was looking forward to seeing it until I heard that. I'll probably see it anyway.
Damn. I was stoked there, for a second. Looks like possibly 2011 for 28 months later. Other than what's been mentioned: The Road
I am excited for the musical Nine. Mostly it is because Daniel Day-Lewis is starring and he is one of if not my favorite actor. I've never seen a musical before either so I am a little interested in that aspect as well. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0875034/
I'm there for 2012 day one. It looks as stupid as a short bus in Hell, but there's a certain catharsis in watching California literally go under.
It looks more ridiculous than Armageddon and Transformers 2, but for some reason I'm excited about it too.
Last Day of Summer Anyone else watch this and think of George Sodini? Talk about your depressed, post-Cusack romantic comedy/drama.
Fuck yes. I'm all about disaster movies, especially when dealing with my new favorite cataclysmic phenomenon! And it has John Cusack! Danny Glover is playing the president!
Inception: It's a Christopher Nolan movie, so I'm already there even if the trailer is completely bad ass. Totally recommend wearing head phones and turning this up as loud as it goes. The sound will resonate in your brain for the next week.
It's got Rock 'n' Rolla written all over it... damn the producer of that shitty movie being smart enough to team up with a guy who knows how to edit trailers.
Hanks and Spielberg creating follow-up to Band of Brothers Not quite a movie, but should be OK to post here. Story here. Band of Brothers is one of my all-time favourites. I really hope that this continues the excellent work.
I saw this trailer a couple weeks back and all I could think was... I need to see a longer trailer immediately. I'm really looking forward to seeing more about this movie soon.
Re: Hanks and Spielberg creating follow-up to Band of Brothers My only complaint about the Band of Brothers is that I have to dedicate an entire day to watching the whole box set. The Pacific sounds very promising.
I'm excited about Nine as well, I love DDL and will see any movie he's in. I'm also looking forward to The Road. I have my concerns because I know the release date kept getting pushed back. (This is never a good sign.) But as it's based on one of my favorite books I think I'll see it regardless of reviews.
Invictus. I was watching this and asking myself where else I'd seen Clint Eastwood direct Matt Damon. "Am I thinking about 'All The Pretty Horses,' directed by Redford? No, that's not it." Then I realized I was thinking about Hillary Swank in 'Million Dollar Baby.' Doesn't she look like his (somewhat) feminine younger brother?
