This thread is for posting random news about TV shows, etc. Pretty well anything and everything related to TV can be discussed here, but don't post any spoilers or episodic information... post that stuff in the dedicated thread for the show.
Just found out that Defying Gravity was cancelled, and the sets have all been destroyed. Call me crazy, but I kind of liked the show. Oh well... hopefully somebody somewhere will develop a half-decent sci-fi show soon.
Did anyone catch the intro to 'Castle' Tuesday? I pretty much screamed like a little girl when Fillion burst out in his "halloween outfit." "What exactly are you supposed to be?" "Space cowboy." ... "Didn't you wear that like, 5 years ago?" "So what?"
From Nathan Fillion to Morena Baccarin... Here's the opening moments of ABC's remake of V. I loved V as a kid. Hell I even loved the short lived series. The buzz around the pilot has been very positive. From what I understand, there will be four episodes in November and the the next installment will be in March. Anyone have more info on this?
The best part of that exchange was at the end: "So...don't you think you should move on?" Also in this episode, the guy who plays Esposito, Jon Huertas, came to the Halloween party at the end dressed as a US marine in full battle gear. Huertas was also the Mexican(?) sergeant in Generation Kill.
Some of you probably know about this, but I thought I'd throw it out there. TV Blog that I frequent: http://warmingglow.uproxx.com/
Awesome Iron Chef America battle—White House chefs Chris Comerford and Tommy Kurpradit teamed up with Bobby Flay against Mario, Emeril, and Anne Burrell! Will be a huge, 2-hour special on January 3. Won't say who won or what was cooked, but if you're into food porn this will be a treat.
I check http://www.buddytv.com/news.aspx damn near every day for recaps, casting news, spoilers, etc. They cover damn near every show on television. Ausiello and Doc Jensen over at EW are very good at what they do, as well.
I was very disappointed when they cancelled the show. It had a lot of character development that seemed to turn people off which is the reason I really enjoyed it. Now we will never know what Beta ever was.
I'm posting this here because I can think of no other place. A commercial has been making me nuts. The show Hawthorne, which stars Jada Pinkett Smith as a nurse, has been running a preview on Showtime over an over. An actress is shown about halfway through it - Smith is on one side of a desk arguing, and it cuts to the other side of the desk with this chick sitting there, rolling her eyes. I've seen this actress before, and I can't place her. She's not listed in IMDB or any other website for the show's cast...she must be a one-time cast member or something. Any help?
Just curious, but did you click on any of the individual episodes for the show? Often times if you click on the episode, it will list everyone in that episode (and those names wouldn't necessarily appear on the main show page). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1382367/episodes

I am hopeful for this one. Ms.Ana may not be a Katy Mixon, she is kinda hot. NSFW
Oh, wow. I heard somewhere that this piece of shit got greenlit, but this is worse than my wildest dreams. In the trailer, they don't even have the courtesy to use a bleep sound effect. They say the actual word "bleep". This may be the worst idea for a TV show since the goddamned Geico cavemen.
People are going to watch it because it's Shatner acting a fool. Average people can't get enough of that shit.
One of the HBOs (Zone2 maybe?) started to re-air "Oz" this week at 10 pm CST. If you missed it the first few times around, it's a show well worth watching.
There isn't a separate thread for it, and isn't worth it based on how many people wouldn't discuss it, but the first episode of season 7 of the BBC's Hustle just hit the usual torrent sites.
