    FYI, it'll take varying lengths of time for the DNS changes to spread out over the internet, so some people will be pointed to the new servers almost immediately, and other could take significantly longer... potentially hours.

    FYI, there were some subtle changes made to the various paths, so you may have to change a bookmark if it's using the old path.

    Depsite choosing the "log me in automatically" option, I am having to log in each time. Doesn't work in Firefox or IE for me.

    For log-in stuff, check your bookmarks.

    When you log in, go to the page you want as your bookmark and make a new one using that link.

    Let me know if that fixes it for you.


    As to tapatalk, I have no idea... I'll have to look into it.

    Nope, it's definitely not retaining login session cookies - at least on Chrome. Not even after clearing cache/cookies/etc.

    Gotta step out for a few but if you don't get it fixed I'll look at it - I know you've got other stuff to work on.

    FYI, this is but the first of many changes that will happen moving forward.

    For now, I have the site running on different/faster hardware, and the domain name transferred to me.

    The next steps will involve:

    • setting up some basic backup/recovery stuff for the new site
    • updating the forum software (hasn't been done in a long, long time)
    • cleaning out old mods to the forum that either aren't going to be used any more (like ads)
    • updating or adding new mods (improved anti-spam registration, etc)

    That won't happen today, but sometime over the next few weeks as I find some free time. Binary is also going to help out with some of the stuff.

    We'll keep you posted.

    FYI, the login problem might be related to a failed index in the internal sessions table.

    Bear with me while sessions get sorted out over the next little while... you may get inexplicably logged out a few times as a result.

    Sorry for the downtime folks... tried doing a quickie software update in the hopes it would fix a couple of small issues (like the login stuff), but it didn't.

    Sooo....

    I'll try again some other time after testing it a bit first.

    Last forum update I did ended up taking a month, including a discarded version upgrade, a change to a different forum software and week stuck completely off line helping tech support understand their product.
