    Maybe, it depends. If all the people talk about is the shit that occurs on TIB, then yeah, that's both awkward and boring as fuck. If on the other hand people treat it as any other get together with people meeting each other than that's pretty normal. Everyone at some point in their lives has been introduced to a new group.

    I'm down, I'll be back in the new city of York and not in Oklahoma the beginning of September (and hopefully won't have to travel for a while). So anytime then would be good. Then we can totally post pictures of how much more fun we're having than the Toronto guys!!!!!

    Well great, I'll be leaving the area (North Jersey (fuck you)) in about a week. So unless we all head out immediately, I can't make it. I know I know, no meetup can possibly be fun without dubyu tee eff but you must be strong. Alcohol will help in drowning your sorrows. Though it might be a blessing in disguise since I'm pretty sure most of you will hate me the second you find out I'm not actually a bouncing tit.

    I think I'd be game for this as well, depending on when this all is planning on going down. I'm in upstate NY, so I'm just a quick train ride away from the city.

    I'll make the trip to NYC if a date is set that works. I've got an excuse to go into the city for business all the time now, so I can kill two birds with one pint glass.

    I'll even bring beer for the train ride down if anyone's riding metro north.

    I live closer than that, and work in Brooklyn frequently. However, I won't be joining your soiree. I'd have a hard time explaining to the Mrsanthropic why I was hanging out with a bunch of strangers from a message board, or why I came home smelling like oven cleaner. She was baffled enough as to why I visited an unknown artist/furniture maker's (suapyg) work shop and came home babbling about bamboo and re-claimed railroad ties.

    I'd be down for a NYC meetup. If it was Boston I'd probably have to opt for the one in Toronto however.

    As far an actual venue or date, I really have no idea on either.

    I'm down for early October.

    Also, I really love planning things (coincidentally, I have an interview at an event planning company tomorrow), so if someone in NY has to step up to actually figure a place out and what not, I can volunteer for that. I've been to different kinds of meetups and events and what not that have gotten a section of a bar reserved just for them, which would be cool. I have no idea how easy that is to pull off, but I can try.
