I finished watching them last night. I was pleasantly surprised that Ellie Kemper could carry a lead role. I'm so glad to see Jane Krakowski again, she was one of my favorites on 30 Rock. And I love Titus. It is a decent show with likeable characters and some great moments (Pinot Noir is my new jam). Pretty good showing for a first season.
As I said, I watched the entire series in one day, staying up until about 3 in the morning. The best thing for me was the final few episodes, when we discover who is playing Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne. I also really like the tone of the show. It's light and funny, but doesn't use the cult angle as the funny thing.
I loved it. I was going to be watching it anyway because of the Tina Fey connection, but was never terribly excited about the show itself based on what I'd read. But I had such a ball watching it. It's like 30 Rock and Parks and Rec's love child. All of the cameos in the last few episodes were really fun. I actually screamed at the Reverend reveal. And I've been alternating between the theme song and Pinot Noir in my head for days. The go-to line for me so far has been "But I already did something today!!"
Made it through 4 episodes but couldnt get into. I like Ellie Kemper, but meh. Call me when the new OITNB season is out.
Me too, though I tend to like Crime Noir or heavier shows, I find this show a lovable distraction from my normal fare. Plus I want to do very naughty things to Ellie Kemper. And Jane Krakowski. At the same time. The theme song (derived from the opening of the first show) still cracks me up and I hum it. Seriously. It's a miracle!
Fucking amazing. Finished it last night, and plan on watching the whole thing again. Kimmys reaction to Velcro, and the line "yeah? Well 2090 called and you're dead and wasted your life!", and pretty much everything else is just gold. Ellie Kemper just nails it, just like she did as Erin in the office.
Watched 2-3 episodes last night and it was excellent. It veers on the edge of absolutely ridiculous, but otherwise it's money.
