It's more than that. Atheism has become fairly mainstream, so the people who became atheists purely for the shock value (as opposed to those who simply came to their own conclusion that God does not exist) needed to find something new to push the envelope--namely the idea that God does not exist but that man can, essentially, create God.
Focus: A condom that actually feels the same as unprotected sex. I remember hearing in health class that it all felt the same, so the first time I had sex with a condom, I thought that sex was overrated. Then the first time I used the coitus interruptus method, I was never going back. Three pregnancy scares and a few q-tips in the dick later, I'm really looking forward to a condom that feels the same.
