    well, our white trash attempt at a blow up pool failed. Duct tape just didn't quite cut it. So we sat around in the pool sitting in lawn chair with our feet in one foot of water while drinking beer. Time to hit Louis on the Lake.

    EDIT: And by blow up, I mean inflate.

    I got a rep to the above post that reads:

    Just gonna answer this publicly because Diablo is fucking right, and I'll go ahead and warn anyone reading this when considering places they'd request to get orders to. It's one big base of boring. There isn't much in the way of recreation, both on and off base. As for Lejeune and Jacksonville (the surrounding town) goes, good luck getting a date. A corpsman neighbor of mine and I had a conversation a couple years back, and we decided that the ratio of single guys to single girls in Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville is, at best, 10:1. Maybe closer to 15:1. And after you eliminate all the girls with STDs and questionable appearance/hygiene, it goes to 20:1. Living in Lejeune for extended periods of time is the equivalent of beer goggles, because it lowers your standards of women to embarrassing levels.
