The day I lose to a guy who doesn't live in America is the day Tank Johnson beats Chris Johnson in the forty.

How about a personal bet on team record? Winner picks the losers avatar for a month? I have always wanted to stick a guy with Chris Burke, Carrot Top, or just a picture of a wang.

I'm last place in the free league. I'm also fucking pissed, I now have to be out of town the day of the draft, with no computer access. Fuck.

Any ruling on the paid league and if it's going to be a point per reception or 1/2 point per or no PPR?

Week 1 I'm destroying Rex Ryan's Fupa with no hesitation. I'm Tom Brady in this bitch, and I hate the Jets.

Any thoughts on a Live Auction Draft for the Free League?

So can we decide on a draft time. I'm assuming 12 o clock Friday night isn't the agreed upon time. at least i hope not. I'm cool with any night Monday-Thursday, or Saturday during the day or anytime Sunday.

Re: The Official TiB Fantasy Football Thread 2010

I wouldn't add a full point but 1/2 point makes them a little bit more even with RB's. No WR was even close to Johnson last year if you don't give receptions a little bit.

It always bothered me to see Wes Welker get 12 catches for 113 yards and only get 11.3 points, especially when he was a big part of the offense.

The thing is a RB could get easily get 20 touches, a good way to balance out the scoring is make receptions worth a half. It worked well in my CBS league last year. I always like more scoring anyway.

I don't particularly care which way it goes so long as we know ahead of time.

I say leave it as is. The fact that WRs don't score as many points is canceled out by having more WRs than RBs.

Not really, last year the highest scoring WR ranked 21st in the league in all time scoring. Chater obviously had three excellent WR's, but if your number three is a Mike Wallace or Devin Hester you will want the points.

Chater can you send out an e-mail from the website? Not everyone will check this thread.

I like a 1/2 PPR. It seems to balance things pretty fairly.

Re: The Official TiB Fantasy Football Thread 2010

Personally, I'm against PPR. It was invented because there used to be 20 running backs that got 20-30 carries a game. Now there's probably only a handful of guys who aren't in SOME kind of timeshare. Nowadays, QB's score the most points by far, but they still don't get drafted first. Why? Because it's all about value relative to your position, and there are 20 QBs scoring in the top 35.

What it boils down to, is that the only thing PPR really accomplishes is that it makes RB's who are a part of the passing game much more valuable relative to backs that just run but don't catch balls out of the backfield. Someone like Kevin Faulk becomes as valuable as a Brandon Jacobs or a Beanie Wells just because he catches balls. They already get points for their receiving yards.

I guess secondary to that, it makes possession receives more valuable than explosive guys. So, again, to the extent that fantasy football is intended to mirror these guys actual value to their team...PPR doesn't do that very well.

    I prefer .5 PPA, but don't care.
