So I'm throwing a house party and the theme is Guido Beach, like the infamous Youtube video. I need to make a solid playlist of electronica/trance/electro/Italo-Disco, whatever, if its made on a computer, and I can make out with skanks to it, it's on. Seriously, anything from Armen Van Buuren to David Guetta to MSTRKRFT to Scooter, as long as its got a beat and we can enjoy it semi-ironically. Give me all you got.

Are you just looking for artists or specific songs?

A really easy way to find specific songs is to go onto Ultra Records youtube page.

    http://www.youtube.com/user/UltraRecords

They represent literally everyone in electronic/dance music.

Markus Schulz, Steve Smooth, Kaskade, Sharam, Cedric Gervais, Basshunter, Tiƫsto, Paul Oakenfold, Above & Beyond, The Young Punx, Benny Benassi, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Kraak & Smaak, Morcheeba, Fedde le Grand, Enur

I don't even know where to begin beyond those two tracks, a couple MSTRKRFT songs and thats it. I'm thinking shit like Bloody Beetroots, the new Akon/Guetta song etc will work. If anyone can throw some suggestions for good Tiesto/Armin Van Buuren (sp?) songs, I'd appreciate it. This is an ironic theme party, not a rave so nothing too heavy/downbeat.

    These are great.

    Some more:
    Daft Punk - Da Funk
    DP - Around the World
DP - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
MSTRKRFT feat. N.O.R.E. - Bounce (remix)
Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me (aka the Geico song)
    Justice - DVNO
Justice - Planisphere (all four parts - it's fucking intense)
Benny Benassi - Free Your Mind
    BB - Come Fly Away
    BB - Electro Sixteen
BB - Love is Gonna Save Us
BB - Put Your Hands Up
David Guetta - When the Lights Go Out (awesome)
    Guetta - Joan of Arc

That should probably do you until the urge for irony passes and you're enthusiastically guido-fist-pumping the night away.

I'm not sure how ironic you want to go, but here's some suggestions:

    Fragma - Toca's Miracle
    DJ Sammy - Heaven
Anything by Cascada ("Everytime we touch" is a special recommendation though)

    Enjoy

I have miles of this stuff. I've crowded the responses as it is but if you want more I'll give you a much bigger playlist.

    Yeah, I'm bookmarking this thread.

Seriously, I think Guido, I think this Diplo remix. Course the original works just as well.

Do they listen to kpop on Long Island? Probably not, but whatever. Also, Korean girls can rap better than I'd have expected.

Daft Punk's live album Alive 2007 is one of my favorite albums of all time. They remix all the songs together and they way they do is fucking sick. This album introduced me to electronic music.
