The first 2 in the Reacher series do a great job of setting up the character and giving you the back story, etc.

After that, Worth Dying For, and One Shot were entertaining.

Really, they were all consistency good, in my opinion.

I need think. I’ve read 22 of them I think. I know “Never Going Back” was really good. It was the second Tom Cruise movie I believe, which can be ignored.
Generally, the books have a formula. It’s fun. It’s not high art. I think I enjoyed “A Wanted Man” as well.

I really like the one where he hitchhikes into a small town and gets involved in some trouble.

Not anywhere near in the same vein as Reacher, but I've been blazing through a series called Dungeon Crawler Carl. Here's the premise copied from Wikipedia:

The series begins with the sudden arrival of alien entities known as the Borant Corporation, who restructure Earth into a multi-level dungeon for their amusement. Humans and various Earth creatures are forced to become "contestants" in a live-streamed, gladiatorial game show. Carl, having just been cheated on by his girlfriend and left with her cat, finds himself thrust into a deadly competition with uncountable viewers across the galaxy watching their every move.

The dungeon levels are filled with traps, puzzles and monstrous creatures, all designed to test the contestants' strength, cunning, and teamwork. As Carl progresses through the dungeon, he gains experience, levels up, and acquires new skills and equipment, typical of LitRPG stories. The series is known for its dark humor, over-the-top violence, and the unlikely but endearing partnership between Carl and Princess Donut.

If you're at all into D&D mixed with a bit of science fiction and/or fantasy lore, these books have been really well done. Even though they're each longer than I initially anticipated, they don't read slow, and there are some actual laugh out loud moments in each book.

Yep, I blazed through them in audio book format last year. It's a pretty interesting and new-to-me concept (the dungeon crawler thing), and was very entertaining.

@jdoogie just rep-reminded me of the time that their pet dinosaur had wild orgy sex with a bunch of other lady dinosaurs, as they are want to do. It was quite hilariously entertaining.

Depending on when you went through them, book 7 was released in November, in case you haven't gotten to it yet.

I've been liking the Trollslayer series by William King, for audiobooks. Anything Jonathan Keeble reads can keep my attention.

I'm about halfway through book 6, with 7 already loaded on my kindle. After I finish reading that I'm planning on going back and redoing the whole series on audiobook.

They did a great job on the audiobooks. That's how I've "read" them so far.

Matt came to the Columbus book festival this weekend and did a couple of panels and signings. Got to get a couple of my hardcover's signed and had a very brief chat with him. Couldn't have been a nicer interaction, but the festival was WILDLY unprepared for the shear amount of fandom he's garnered recently.

His panel was scheduled to start at 2:30, and the line had was so long that they had to come out and hand count to tell people there was going to be a cutoff, and this was an entire hour beforehand.

Luckily my daughter and I happened to be near the line trying to use the restroom and asked about what was going on, so we were able to make it.

By all accounts he sounds like a really great guy.

He’s even allowing anyone to make whatever merch they want, license/royalty free.

Seems like a smart play, to me, as it’s kind of like free advertising for him.
