I can't wait everything I've read says it'll be on par with BBC quality. The chemistry those three have on screen is just magic.
They scooped a ton of the BBC Production staff, so it should be amazingly well shot. I've been drooling over the little bits and pieces they've been leaking to social media, and it looks entertaining as hell so far. The predominant feeling among old-school Top Gear enthusiasts is that the few minutes of leaked footage from Grant Tour is better and more entertaining than the entire last season of the new Top Gear. I tend to agree.
I'm lukewarm. I think they sometimes get too over the top and cartoonish with their bits, which I don't care for. I'm interested in their takes on cars; I don't care about tanks or blowing things up.
I don't have every season saved or even any seasons really, but I have every special they've done. Hilarious and entertaining, all of them.
My mom doesn't give a shit about cars, but has watched every special and is asking when there will be more. That, to me, really shows their appeal.
I just got around to watching the first episode and I'm all in. I can't wait to watch the rest of them. These guys are just really good. It didn't hurt that they had "super" hybrids to start out the show, awesome machines.
Yep, they knocked it out of the park. I, too, am all in for the show. Gotta say, the opening sequence gave me goosebumps... seeing them get back together like that was very cool. I can only imagine Chris Evans drinking himself into a coma at this point.
I also loved the way they were talking about all of them but Clarkson getting fired and how the internet TV would be a better place for them. Hilarious.
My only negative is the racing driver... totally unfunny in every way. I know they can't re-use the Stig, but that guy just sucks.
I hope so. I also felt a few things were dragged on too long but otherwise it's great to have the show back.
They did a 2 part Africa special which was great. The American still sucks, and the "Celebrity Brain Crash" thing was funny the first episode but needs to go.

Yeah, that's a repost of the original story that hit DriveTribe.com. https://drivetribe.com/p/im-going-t...61p3TDGJWaXPmhDDBw?iid=ZFBcU9uoQ0uDuAMVjB5wOw If you're not familiar with it, DriveTribe is the online community that the Three Amigos from Grant Tour are trying to build up. I try and support them as much as I can by posting their links... which is probably the least I can do to support them. That being said, the interview was quite interesting and very fun, even if the sound guy was on drugs.
And on that... huge props to Rimac for taking it as well as they did... as a hard-core real-world learning example. The Rimac story is quite interesting... didn't know that they develop and licence IP for electric vehicles... basically the car Hammond wrote off was one of 8 proof of concept cars that showcased their technologies.
