That's awesome. You should take a picture of the tree to ID it.

There was a neighbor on a nearby street with a tree that was like you described, just humming and vibrating with bees in the spring, and it smelled nice too. I went back a couple years later because we lost a tree to wind damage and I was thinking to replace it with the same type but the tree has been removed! Oh no! Think of the bees!

We briefly had a honey bee colony move into the hollow tree in front of our house, but they only stayed a few days, decided they didn’t like the look of the place, and moved on. I was very disappointed.

My tomato plants look like ass this year. Again. Last year, everyone else’s did too, but this year theirs are thriving and mine are not. I’m not sure what the issue is, but I need to pay more attention to them next year. And it’s really pissing me off that I’m already looking ahead because this year’s crop isn’t growing well.

I planted too much in a small space so now I have squash ( which I don’t even eat ) cucumbers, beans and other stuff growing all tangled together. Theres lots of blossoms and I have some zucchini to pick soon, hard telling if I’ll get any watermelons or cantaloupes.

The pumpkins are looking great. Of all the things I grow I enjoy those the most. We only use them for decoration or to give away before feeding them to the chickens, but I enjoy it.

Next year I’m gonna focus more on smaller things ( except for pumpkins ) and grow more herbs. Now that I know how to properly harvest basil I thoroughly enjoy it.
