    There are two conspiracy theories right now:

    -- someone at the NSA sold these for bitcoin. Someone on 4chan was offering pics for sale for bitcoin, and apparently he sold quite a few, as per Snowden's recent reports that people at the NSA with access to this stuff regularly shared private photos amongst each other.

    -- iCloud had a temporary security problem that left content open to anyone knowing the person's name. If any of the celebs didn't use an alias when signing up, they'd be somewhat easy to look for.

    As hot as those are, that's mortifying for her. I mean there's not even a question of whether or not that is her. In the past, a lot of leaked naked pics of people like Scarlett Johansson and others left some mystery as to whether it was really them or not.

    I mean bravo to a beautiful girl. But I feel bad for her.

    This is why I own a 12 year old phone with no camera. Well, it isn't, I'm cheap and too lazy to go buy a new one, but I like the idea that the NSA would sell my nudes for bitcoins otherwise.

    Why would a celebrity keep, let alone save and upload, nudes off the device? Especially when people physically go through your trash looking for weird shit. Least we know Lawrence is more fun than Emma Watson.

    Yep. Tuesday will be fun reading all the news about this. However, ticket sales for her new movie will probably be brisk. I like to think this isn't a publicity stunt. She's got an Oscar and a rabid following because she doesn't play on her sex appeal like the others. And yanno, that talent thing.

    Thank you Kentucky bourbon barrel ale for that 8.2% kick start I needed. And thank you Nett for sharing those pictures. To that discussion, I'm happy to have seen them because.... damn. But I agree with those that have said they feel bad for them. That wasn't stuff they put out publicly, and while it will probably help their careers it would suck. I mean, who hasn't texted naked pics or at least taken a few for posterity (not necessarily of ourselves)?

    I looked at the pictures and thought that as well until I heard rumblings about a Jennifer Lawrence cumshot video. Now all I can feel is sadness that their privacy has been violated so much. Mary Elizabeth Winstead had pictures hacked too and her responses on twitter sums it up. "Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this.....To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves."
