    To celebrate one month of med school down, I'm going to get a nape piercing. Then go destroy some irishmen in beer pong. For a country that drinks in excess, they sure aren't very good at drinking games.

    Exciting. My Ottawa weekend coming up involves sex, watching Daria, and becoming incredibly irate over 401 traffic in Toronto and how no one in Ottawa can drive.

    I've never been to Ottawa or Montreal, and I've lived in Toronto for 28 years.

    I studied for a year in Toronto and ended up taking a 5 day trip to Montreal in the Spring. I totally wish I would have been in Montreal the whole time. Hell, I would probably have stayed for a few more years as well if I had known. Toronto is all business/cold/city like New York. Montreal is beautiful and there are hot women everywhere. There were festivals, shows, people enjoying life everywhere.

    I thought last year was the last Pumpkin Fest? That place is a fucking nightmare during the fest.

    My brother went to Keene St and was bartender at a local restaurant. He made more money during the festival than some of his friends made in 6 months working elsewhere.

    Jesus, woman. I've been to Montreal, and I live in New Jersey. You need to get out a little more.

    I'm between Octoberfests (one last weekend, and one next weekend), so this weekend I'll be drinking some good wine in an orchard and riding the wine train. The latter isn't a euphemism - it a scenic train ride, where they provide wine and cheese. Should be fun.

    I went to Quebec City for a week once - but it was by myself, for an international coaching clinic.

    That's because once you see the interesting old buildings, QC sort of sucks.
    Montreal does not.


    Ottawa is generally a boring place with very good food.

    Holy hell am I pumped. Midterms are finally over which means I can go outside and try to remember what the world looks like in sunlight (and beer goggles). On deck for tonight: LOUIS FUCKING CK. Going to see him perform in Asheville. I paid out the ass for a last minute ticket but I always regretted missing an opportunity to see George Carlin before he died, so I'm not making that mistake again. Then tomorrow is homecoming so tailgating, booze, and football are on deck. For the first time in a while, I'm actually excited about the weekend.

    Of course, before I head off, I have to get my midterm for Micro back, so we'll see how bad of a bloodbath that will be.

    I grew up/lived in Pennsylvania for 26 years before I ever visited Philadelphia. It's a six hour drive, and I never really had a reason for ever going there.

    Well, I've lived in Minnesota most of my life, Northern Minnesota for a large part of it, and have never been to Canada - yet I've been to Mexico. Is that better or worse?
