    I'm headed to Las Vegas for the first time ever this weekend to attend a giant outdoors industry show as the guest of a gunmaker. Feels surreal to think about it, and I don't even know what to anticipate. I should be home in time to watch the game but we'll see.

    Superbowl time means brisket time for me. Since the local grocery store sells packers cuts (the only "packers" anything I like) for $1.25/lbs, I'll be doing about a 20-25 lbs one. I first started doing brisket about this time last year and since then have done a little over 2 dozen, so I'm just now getting it to where I like it.

    I'll be doing a 12 hour smoke at 215 on Saturday, then re-heating in the oven at the lowest temp setting for a few hours before the game (toss some beef broth in there, rosemary, little cilantro and in my opinion it tastes just as good as fresh).

    Anyone else separate the point from the flat when smoking brisket? I just have a thing for burnt ends.

    I wouldn't get your hopes up. Dude is getting old, but I think he'll play until he can't and he's not really showing his age yet. I would expect at least one more season, if not two or three.

    Congratulations, I now feel like I have been living under a rock. I had no clue Superbowl was this weekend.

    Ladies, if you do not have the Poshmark app, download it now. It's eBay, but designer labels for crazy cheap. Everything from makeup, shoes, dresses, purses... I am getting addicted, but for how crazy inexpensive every thing is, I can afford to be.

    Why is toilet lights a thing? I've tried imagining it and I just don't get it.

    Know what would be more helpful? Motion sensitive ankle/knee height lights when walking around the house at night. I have a gnarly scar from walking into an open dresser door that these lights may have prevented.
