    Based on this article http://www.buzzfeed.com/jennaguillaume/what-is-that-tingling#.pf3G0qaVxq

For me, it was Thomas J. in My Girl. There was just something about the bonds of opposite sex friendship and young Macaulay Culkin that gave me confusing feelings in my little 8 year-old mind. I used to watch that movie over and over again trying to figure out hat was going on.

Focus: What brought about your sexual awakening? Was it a particular actor/actress? a sexy cartoon? Or was it an actual person in the real world that made you feel funny for the first time?

Do psychologists consider childhood crushes as "sexual?" I guess the first time I noticed girls was a girl named Christina that was on the same school bus as me. She was quiet and I remember her being very cute. As we grew older I kind of forgot about it. I saw her once around our hometown a few years ago, she had moved to Hawaii and was a pediatrician.

I had other female friends while growing up, but I dont remember thinking about them any differently than my guy friends.

    Bump.

Funny that you mention "My Girl", because Anna Chlumsky as Vada was one of them. She looks great on Veep now, too.

But I think the number one answer for men of my generation has got to be Danica McKellar as Winnie Cooper. She also grew up to be a brilliant, gorgeous mathematical theory inventing book writing awesome lady.

And I personally really liked Larissa Oleynik in The Secret Life of Alex Mack on Nickelodeon.

In terms of celebrities, Kelly Bundy definitely was there. Also Vanessa Williams as her song was on the radio all the time, then Mariah Carey. All of this happened somewhere between 6th and 7th grade.

The first girl I ever had a crush on was this girl Connie in 7th grade. We've maintained a pretty good friendship since and have the "If Single at 40" contract in place. We almost banged it out once, but it would have been bad because she was in the middle of a 7 year relationship ending.

There was Madonna's Material Girl video, and all the hair band video girls of the 80's. And, then this happened:

I cannot remember the first instance I noticed girls on TV. Random tits in movies ALWAYS interested me. There was never a time where I thought that wasn't the best. My earliest boner was probably at 6. My oldest erotic memory is around 3rd grade when I developed a crush on this chubby cheeked girl. I've had the thirst since.

As far as movies, Sharon Stone. 12ish, around 1993, got my hands on a copy of Basic Instinct and it was all over. Everyone made fun of me for liking that "old chick" instead of Pam Anderson (who I always considered a bimbo). This might be telling of my unhealthy obsession with women who are way out of my league mentally and who probably want to murder me. God bless them all, you dangerous bitches make the world go round. Every time a mind game is played a demon gets its wings.

The best part is she really is a man eater, once quoted as saying fame allows her to torment a different class of men. She's a bad, bad girl.

I was pleased to see Aladdin on the list so I don't feel so silly. I have some fond memories of Aladdin sheets when I was a kid. And Little Mermaid, for Prince Eric.

As for human men, it was the 90s trifecta of JTT, Devon Sawa, and Leo circa Titanic. Swooooooooon.

I'm fairly certain this Gloria Estefan CD cover featuring glorious cleavage was the first image to start the wheels turning in my head.

    Is 2014 before your time?

Because if it is, she has a 20 year old daughter you might be interested in.

Credit to her for aging gracefully, but Lea Thompson never did anything for me. Then or now. And I loved Howard the Duck as a kid.

The first time I had that "tingling sensation" was from a literary influence.

Penthouse letters? No. Jaws. The novel. By Peter Benchley.

By the time I was 10, I had seen enough representations of the female anatomy to know, and to know that my parts fit those parts. I had taken Jaws out of the local library, expecting awesome descriptions of dismemberment and mangling. And then I came to an age-inappropriate description of a man and woman having an affair, something that didn't make it into the movie. Either they meet for lunch, or the woman is fantasizing about it. She imagines going into the bathroom in the restaurant and taking off her underwear, and then they drive off together and get into things in the car. The imagery set something off, and things started tingling, and moving, and feeling . . . .nice.

Little miss trailer trash herself wasn't always that way. Back in the day of 5th grade she was pretty hot and made me start to wonder what else girls could do that I wasn't quite aware of at the time.

Alicia Silverstone also left me a bit confused in a good way

My first adolescent crush, not coincidentally, was around the same time. We were in the same class and there was that awkward attraction going on that some people say they miss about those years and others are happy not to experience again. I remember we would file graded papers together and that was greatest thing ever. This was long before the world turned me into the cynical contrarian I am now

Alicia Silverstone, totally hot. But, she really did a number on you, since that's a picture of Brittney Spears.
