Got this one in December. I'm pleased with it.

    The Morrigan.
Five and a half hours, two twenty minute breaks included.

it’s my longest session ever and sweet baby that last 45 minutes nearly killed me.

My leg is finally complete after 86 hours over 10 eight hour sessions and a four-hour session, spread out over 13 months with the final two-hour touchup a few weeks ago. These were taken on the day so a bit of swelling and redness but overall I'm pretty happy with how it came together.

    Wow, that’s pretty amazing.

I’m always curious about the story behind someone’s tattoos. Is there a reason for the various animals?

The animals mostly represent individual people who have had a big impact on my life over the years. Many are favourite animals and once we had the majority filled we grabbed a few more to fill in space.

I'm going to take the plunge and get my first.

What I'm after is some text with embellishment/framing, in a relatively simple cursive font on my chest. Any suggestions on where to find the right design, or sites I can use to tinker?

There's no shortage of artists in the area, but anyone y'all know in the DMV would be appreciated.

dafont.com to get a general idea, though any artist worthwhile should be able to come up with something custom.

Find an artist you like and the text you want then give them a rough idea and let them come up with the design. Most artists hate doing cookie-cutter stuff and just want to create something interesting.
