    1. Don't be a troll.

    2. This is not an IM convo. Do not use smileys, make an effort to
    spell words correctly, and use standard English. We aren't grammar
    Nazi's, but we do require some level of intelligence in the discourse.

    3. Before you start posting, lurk for awhile. Hang out, read a bit and
    figure out the customs and tone of the people. This place can be a lot
    of fun and pretty entertaining if you take the time to figure it out.
    If you just barge in and expect to do things your way, you probably
    won't be here long.

    4. Do your homework and use the search function to look for an answer
    before asking for advice or information. There is a strong chance the
    topic has already been covered once, if not multiple times.

    5. You are welcome to flirt with anyone you want, and if you meet
    someone off this board, good for you, but DO NOT threaten or stalk or
    in any way give unwanted or weird attention to any of the women on
    this board.

    6. BE YOURSELF. Do not lie, pose, front--whatever. No one will look
    down on you for being a nerd or gay or something else I am not, but
    everyone will hate you if you lie. Don't do it.

    7. This is important, because it became a real problem on the old
    board: If this board becomes your social life and you start living
    through here, I will ban you. This place is meant as entertainment for
    me and my friends and is intended to give people a fun diversion from
    work or school. IT IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR A NORMAL SOCIAL LIFE.
    Seriously people, if you become one of those gossipy whores/dorks that
    lived and died for drama on the old board, I will not hesitate to get
    rid of you. Have fun, but do not base your social life around this
    place.*

    8. NO POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS. The Idiot Board is about drinking,
    fucking, having fun, pop culture, sports, etc--all topics that divert
    and entertain. There are plenty of places to discuss serious political
    and social issues, but this particular section is NOT the place.

    9. The most valued asset here is not looks or coolness, but funny. If
    you write funny posts, you can do just about anything.
