Operation Repo is like Cops on steroids. One guy smashed his own car being repo'd with a bulldozer and almost every repo gets physical.
I smell a rat. Does anyone else think this show is staged? I mean, maybe it's reenactments of repossessions that actually happened, but I don't think the camera crews are catching the real thing. Even at that, the acting is terrible.
It's fake. My ex was REALLY in to pro-wrestling, to the point where he was training to become a pro-wrestler.. so when I saw that huge tool Matt do a hip toss (one of the moves that pro-wreslters do in matches) and throw a dude through a desk and the desk smashed in half I knew something was up. After a little digging online, I found that the show is PRODUCED by Mr. Vince McMahon of WWE himself, and that everyone on the show is an actor. None of them even have repo licenses (which is required). I think the towing company is even called WWE towing or some crap. From what I understand, the stories are retellings of 'real' repo stories.. but after figuring out the show is fake being passed off as real on a network like A&E that has Intervention and Hoarders and other very real shows, I got really pissed and couldn't watch it ever again.
I thought it was EGA Productions, as in Eagle-Globe-Anchor, as in USMC. Evidently, the guy who's the boss was supposedly a US Marine. I'm not saying he wasn't, but I've never, ever seen a Marine who was that obese. The Vince McMahon thing would make sense, though, as the show is about as watchable as a pro wrestling match. I did find the show entertaining at first, but bad acting is hard to watch unless it's in porno.
The show is based on a spanish-language show, Operacion Repo. It's re-enactments of "true" repo stories. I think it sucks.
The show is fake. There comming out with a movie too. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235844/ I have to admit I watch it sometimes though. I like to see the rediculous stories they come up with from time to time.
