    I've kept a short beard around since last November (girlfriend now admits she actually likes it) and I've let my hair grow out a bit rather than just buzzing it weekly too. It works.

    What a timely thread; I shaved right before Halloween because my costume would have required it, but that plan fell through. So I'm going to let it my face grow out this whole month, and post a picture either 11/30 or 12/1.
    But I'm shaving my neck, because that shit itches.

    I just shaved a beard I grew for a full year, not super motivated to grow again. I do donate to Movember every year though, which is the charity group that NSN is ripping off.

    This is my, "ok, that's about all I can take" update. I think I'm going to have to trim it. So, far, I have gotten "old timey prospector," "the goat man," and "Rutherford B Hayes." If it wasn't starting to curl all out of control, I might keep it.
