    binary edit: Cancel that, folks, I've updated the original youtube code to handle both http and https with no extra work on your part.

    FYI, I've added a "youtube-https" tag now.


    Basically, if you're cutting/pasting a YouTube URL into a post these days, they're all https, which the old tag didn't work with, so you had to edit the link to remove the https. No more. Just leave it, and use the new tag.

    I've left the old tag so it doesn't fuck up any historical posts using that tag.

    Let me know if you have any issues with it.
