Normally I'd be rooting for the Royals now, but since I've been able to watch 1 fucking Royals game all year I find it kind of hard to root for a team I have no idea about. And since I've seen quite a few Mets games and Vegas is home to their AAA team, I'm just more familiar with them. But in the end, I really just don't care who wins. I'll probably just be rooting for everybody who plays well.
I think I have a valid reason for enjoying the Cubs loss. I'm and Indians fan, and if the Cubs win the series before we do then the title of longest World Series win drought goes to us. Rooting for Cleveland sports is shameful enough without that hanging over our heads, so I just can't ever root for the Cubs.
I'm glad someone has a premium cable subscription to actually watch the game. I'd have FS1, but I can't quite justify an extra $20 a month to watch Brazilian soccer. I'm just following the game on espn.com.
I haven't had cable since the mid-2000s. Watching on cricfree.tv and using Chromecast to put it on the flatscreen. It's kind of cool because while the game is normal, is commercials are British.
After attempting to watch a pirate feed of the ALDS that was spotty at best, I just gave up. I could give a fuck about either team. Fuck FOX. Fuck them straight up the ass. I probably won't even watch the WS just because fuck FOX. The last WS I didn't see? 1970.
Consider yourself extremely lucky this didn't happen say, 20 minutes earlier. Because baseball is kind of evil about that sort of thing...
I can't put this video on for some reason but this is an awesome Simpsons World Series commercial. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/6479266/v523532783/the-world-series-begins-october-27-on-fox
Nah, I'm not a Red Sox fan. Win or lose, I couldn't be happier with with this team. And there's next year. And Pompey, the fastest player on the team is now on third.
Its hard to complain when you have a runner on 3rd with no outs, but that 2-1 strike call on Revere was HORRENDOUS. Completely changed that at-bat and really the game. I'd be furious. And I'm shocked so many people don't have FS1. Its very much standard in cable packages here. Its not some obscure channel like Versus used to be. It has a decent amount of baseball, A LOT of CFB, college basketball, plenty of major soccer, and, while not my bag, Nascar which is a huge viewership.
I herby command all members of this board to hate Cardinals fans. Here they are tailgating at Game 1 today: Check out the fake World Series rings, held high on waist to proudly display the faux-gold masterpieces: Repeat after me. Cardinals. Fans. Are. The. Worst.
