I think one of the things that most impresses me about Louie is the casting of the support characters throughout both seasons. Not just the famous comics or any guest stars, but the majority of the cast that are just ordinary people you would meet on the street. With almost every show on t.v. casting nothing but cookie cutter attractive people, it's interesting to see a show work so well with a no name, everyday person cast. It's even easier to relate to the show which in turn makes the emotions and subtle jokes even more powerful.
So I just realized that Louie fired back up last week, and just finished watching the season opener. Oh. My. Fucking. God. I have not laughed that hard, out loud, alone, in a long, long time. Just about to fire up episode 2 from tonight. Anyone else into Louie?
Judy Gold plays such a fantastic pissed off large Jewish dyke. I love her. And that pregnant girl was acting her balls off in that hallway scene.
It was typical Louie - just sort of meanders along with mild funny and awkwardness, and then BAM - shit just went sideways. Love it.
