I'm good at Call of Duty Black Ops so I decided to make a Youtube Channel. As noted in video descriptions I hit the top 2% in the world for last week on the CTF playlist. My goal is to post badass clips sans the oral commentary from annoying fucking Eastern Europeans (sorry, your voice sounds like a dying gazelle). Additionally, I use a guns the average COD player writes off to prove the 74u isn't necessary to use. I don't know how to download clips longer than 30 seconds long at this point but if I get some viewership I will look into options. It would be super cool if you could just watch my short clips, and even cooler if you left positive feedback/ratings, and the COOLEST if you posted the link on your facebook.

*** For the nerds: Yes, my dream is to get picked up by machinima. Why not?

My friends and I started a podcast. It's a mixture of Uhh Yeah Dude, Low Budget FM, and the Adam Carolla Podcast. It's immature, raw, and maybe even funny. I signed up for a free account with drop box, which allows you to store your files in a cloud system so they're safe and you can access them anywhere. Unlike services like amazon where you have to upload and INDIVIDUALLY download files back to your computer, you get a folder on your PC (and mobile device apparently) that acts like a regular folder except it syncs with the cloud service so you can access the data from any machine. Also it's freaking awesome for sharing files that are annoying or too big to e-mail.

Why am I posting this? If you go with the free plan they start you off with a paltry 2GB of storage, but you get a bonus 250MB (up to a max of 8GB bonus) for everyone you refer to the program. Also, whoever you refer gets a bonus 250MB as well, so you wouldn't just be helping me, you'd be helping you.

This is just a start. I'm most likely going to add some more of my stories, fewer random observations. I'm trying not be be Hyperbole and a Half, but I read that blog a lot, so my reading might come out in my writing.

 

This isn't so much self-promotion as familial-promotion. These guys are really good... and one of them is related to me!

I was reading a friend's sports blog (cricket/NBA/other stuff) today and I thought of this thread. I don't generally go around plugging people, but he's a fantastic sports writer and if you have any interest at all in the sports he writes about I think you'll enjoy his writing.

He wants to do this as a career, and I think he can cut it as a proper sports journo.

This guy is a 6'4 UW-Madison student from Bumblefuck, Wisconsin who spends his summers working in his dad's auto repair shop and is learning to teach Special Ed children. He still shamelessly rides shopping carts down the aisles at supermarkets. One of the nicest, compassionate, and down to earth guys I have the pleasure of calling my friend. Between fixing truck engines and volunteering he spends an obscene amount of time creating mashups. Please take five minutes to click on his videos, like, comment, and subscribe. He has no idea I pimp his stuff out and is always ecstatic when his videos jump in views.
