There are a lot of people on this site who have blogs of their own who are looking for a way to get their stuff out in front of more people. This is the thread for that.

    Focus:

If you have a blog that you would like to pimp, this is the place for it.

    RULES:
    1) Post only the front page link to the site, and then be done with it. Don't come back to this thread and clutter it with 9 new post a day just because you saw a new butterfly and had to tell the world how outrageous it is. Feel free to point people in the right direct in your post to stories that you think that they would like, but let the content speak for itself. If people like your stuff, they will be back.

    2) Do NOT post in this thread unless you are posting a link to your own site. This includes critiques other people's sites. If you think it is shitty, go on their page and tell them its shitty. Then, don't go back. Nothing will take down a shitty site faster than having nobody read it.

Screw it, I'll take a chance...

    http://commonmindthoughts.wordpress.com

I am a thirty something guy in Upstate NY. Relatively conservative but with an open mind to others views for the most part. I'm pretty sure what you read there will reflect that.

I was a long time lurker at the other board, hope to maybe be a little more active here.

This is just a place I go to relieve stress and the "diarrhea of the brain" that comes from thinking too much. If you like it, great, glad you do. If you don't, please be respectful and just don't read it.

This looks like it could be a fun place to hang out and kill time. Good job Chater.

I was always too shy to post my blog anywhere on the RMMB, but this new board inspires some courage in me. Straight out the 504:

    http://jp504.blogspot.com

I think Tucker's/this board's sense of humor has definitely rubbed off on me, and it shows in my writing. In particular everybody seems to really like the latest post at the moment, "The Burgstein Bet" (if you're Jewish I hope you can take a joke). I'd love any helpful critique, positive or negative - I'll gladly give your blog a look and share my impressions in return.

I also posted in the blog thread on the branched-off writing board, but this board gets a lot more traffic. I'm really not a blog-whore, I promise.

I used to be the sports editor/columnist for my campus newspaper. I find blogging far more enjoyable. If I want to call Brett Favre a fucking cocksucker, nothing is stopping me.

My sports blog: Somewhere Over Dwayne Bowe. Lots of football commentary right now, since that's in season. Depending on the season though, that'll change--and if I feel like venturing out of the world of sports, I just might. I know there are a few former RMMBers reading regularly after I left a link in the Rant & Rave thread once, but let's see if we can't pick up a few more.

And just a hint, make sure to check back at 3ish (central) this afternoon. I have my office hours from 2-3 today, and I'm probably going to whip something up during then. Not sure what, yet.

(As a side note, yes I know I'm supposed to link to the main page only. But I've got a couple-week old piece up that needs reader feedback for me to finish it, and I figure this is as good a place as any to find it. So I'll throw a link in that way, too. Mods, feel free to yell at me if I'm out of line. The Ahmad Carroll All-Stars, Part I)

Life as a gopher on the Beer in Hell movie tour

Starts a little slow because it took a while to adjust to the workload and familiarize ourselves with one another, but there's some good stories to tell. I'll eventually move onto other things but the tour is the main focus until I'm finished writing about it.

Feel free to stop by and troll the comments section any time.

Myself and a couple friends run a sports blog. We focus mainly on things from the middle of the country in our area (Big Ten, Browns, Lions, Notre Dame, etc) but it's pretty well run and written.

I write about boxing on the internet currently and am in the process of putting together my own professional boxing card next year with my older brother.

    The site I write for - http://www.ultimateboxingresults.com
My name is Mark Ortega, I tend to cover anything Northern California all the way to Reno/Vegas and SoCal.

Soon we will be putting our site together for our promotional company, Ortega Promotions.

Don't judge by the name... I set this up because trance and club music is something I've been in love with for a long time... and due to volume of new stuff I go through and edit I got tired of making people CD's. Check it out.. if you know people who are into the music let them know about it... in the end it helps them more than me.

Here's my personal "blog," where I have posted a few things I have written for fun. I try to keep it light.

(If you check it out, please send me some feedback, no matter how critical or brief via PM or on this thread.)

I was always afraid to post this on the old board, but now seems like a good time to do it.

    My blog:
    http://blog.theboobox.net

I try to keep it on the funny side, but I guess that's up to you. Check out the Syber Force (pictures of made up super heroes that my friends and I drew in grade school circa 1994) and Food Blog posts. Those are some of my favorites.

If you like it (or not), let me know via PM or comment. Enjoy.

Today I finally decided to start switching my blog over from facebook to an actual blog website. Wooo, moving on up!

Anyway, while this blog is very casual and just for fun, I would like to eventually do something with my writing/cartooning (which will require a LOT of drawing work... you'll see). I think a lot of you are pretty funny motherfuckers, so I would really appreciate any feedback you could give!

    http://joecanada87.blogspot.com/

The first post is just my submissions from the Raleigh (or whatever it's called) photoshop thread, but I think that's the only stuff you guys will have already seen. I have way more posts that I'll be putting up in the next few days, then I'll start adding new ones - hopefully more regularly than every month or two as I've been doing on facebook.

I have a blog that focuses mainly on music. I don't post that often cause, only when I have something to say, but I'm hoping to have more to write about in the future. At this point it's just a way to practice my writing so that when I have something real to say, I can.

    I run 2 sites

    http://www.the21convention.com
    http://www.thedreamlounge.net

The 21 Convention is the world's leading men's success convention. It's like TED, but better =). On the site all event footage is hosted for free- all 3 years of it, over 50 hours of content, no charges, no e-mail collection, nada. Hopefully we get Tucker to speak next year.

The Dream Lounge is my personal blog. A lot of it is focused on exercise/nutrition, but I write about other things as well (college, work, $150 water bottles, etc).

My blog is about personal development and has many themes familiar to the RMMB (living your life on your own terms, not being overly influenced by others, 'you are not your job') and the like. A lot of it is written almost in a way to give myself a kick in the butt about how I need to live my life. It has been a good way for me to work out some of my issues.

Derek's writing is really good, there's no reason any TiB members shouldn't enjoy it.

Also check out http://www.backseatracing.com if you're in to F1 or car stuff in general.
